Afaik, the expire time on your key starts running after you use it.

They don't read it because they don't see it. They hit the Buddybot forum, then click on the "SUPPORT ISSUES" forum and never see the posts in the "HONOR BUDDY" forum. There needs to be a sticky in "SUPPORT ISSUES"

As you may know, the bot is down for approximately one week (which started August 28th). The bot is being overhauled and updated to work with the new patch. I'm sure, if you bought a key and it doesn't work when the updated version comes out, that Tony can assist you with the issue by either issuing a new key, or giving you a refund. I wouldn't worry about it too much right now. Just give it until Tuesday or Wednesday, maybe even Thursday, and check back to see if the bot's back up and running.
