Botting with Demon Hunters

So after expanding my botting, I bought an extremely cheap legion account for 15€.
It had a level 102 hunter on it and no level boost available. So I decided to try botting a Havoc Demon Hunter and I totally regret it.

Compared to my blood DKs and Pally the survivability sucks ass.

That great spot in north of highmountain, where I usually gather foxflower while leveling my bots (becuase the mobs scale down there), is terrible for my DH. Whereas my pallys and dks have 0-2 deaths per hour. The DH has 12 deaths. Even now with 800 gear at level 110.

Hes truly the black sheep in my botting family. Im considering switching him to tank now, but I already spent the artifact power so that kinda sucks.



Whats been your experience with botting demon hunters?

Go veng. you will never die. they have a really good self heal that will keep you up for hours against evn elites. Im 840 and can solo any elite mob in legion.

as for dps its kinda crappy if you dont have a self movment back to mobs you tend to be all over the place and your dps will suffer for it.

Umm pretty much as you have described it, flat ground its fine but anything with drops or easily to leap to spots an get the bot all dysfunctional is bad news. I bot primarily on my DH just because its the one that is best geared an it drives me nuts sometimes. That being said, once I got my ilvl up to 840 (which is where it is at currently still) it has gotten better because I can simply just kill faster with less time to get the bot in a rut. This as Havoc Spec as well, Haven't looked into Veng cause of all the point I have put into Havoc.

It is not supposed to compare tanking specs with dps spec.
As previous posters mentioned, Vengeance DHs are very good too, comparable to the Blood DKs!

Farming Artifact power is matter of few hours to get in pace and top to the easiest 13 ranks

Yup like everyone else is saying, go vengeance, you can't die with those selfheals and you can solo all elite/boss world quests if you want, if its primarily for gathering, it still does the job well just without the extra mount speed.

If you run your bots in tank spec, they got better uptime in longruns imho.

When I bot with a class that even has a spec for a tank class, I use it (pally, druid, warrior, DK, DH etc) much higher chance of pulling and not dying. Another alternative is feral druid, I find it to be very survivable.

What is the best way to farm AP? I just do bg botting to get honor levels and like the AP from it. is there a better way to farm AP if that's all I need?

Obviously do your dailies (WQ, dungeons, weekly LFR, etc), but if you are just playing the DH, you can spam Mythics to get quite a bit as well.

I have a level 101 Twink DH, and it never dies and almost one shots everything, I use it for farm herbs and ore in all zones but Suramar. for Suramar i have a level 110 DH and Druid. I do not push my farming/botting more then 6 hrs a day to keep eyes off me but I still make about 500K a week.

My main bot is a DH Vengeance, nothing wrong with it.

Let the WQ profiles do it for you Bot can probably get through all of them in about 2-3 hours. With a chance of decent gear and more AP. It's worth running daily or at least every other day to gear up toons.
