Botting with a Conscience: Why and How I Bot in WoW

I just read a pretty interesting article. It list the pros and cons of botting. It also talks about Zero Footprint Botting. I know a lot of my friends here love to make gold/sell gold. I, on the other hand, prefer to use the bot in the manner this author suggests. I'm very grateful for this community, and of course the honorbuddy team. What are your thoughts?

That is actually close to how i use HB, lol. Mostly questing and Lazyraider nowadays... Cata, on the other hand, I was a whiptail farming whore.

I enjoyed this article until I finished it. His idea of zero footprint botting is nice in thought, in reality any form of botting outside of leveling hits the community. Why? Even if all of the botters stop botting for hours on end (which they won't) if you take 500 botters x1 hour of botting a day thats 500 bot hours. I personally have brought down the entire AH system with only a few hours of botting. Lets take 500 and see what it does.

Sure some of what I said is a little silly. I admit it.

I am only simply saying is even at a minimum due to the amount of people that bot it still has a substantial effect on the game, it could be less, but still substantial.
