Botting question - difference between main and bot account

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section; I've tried looking for some answers but couldn't find any. Also - the posts in the ban sections never seem to get replied to.

If you bot on your tossaway account and trade stuff to your main account - is your main account then in risk of being banned?

From what I've read, if you get caught, you only lose the account (license) that has been botted on. Does that mean that they can't touch the account that has items traded to it?

Also; what if you transfer your bot character over to your main account - can your main account then be banned? Technically the character belongs to the other license now, which haven't been botted on.

Thanks for answers.

During the end of WoD, I had 2 accounts botting Firelands Trash non stop, made over 500k gold, and distributed it through guild bank.. Main account did not get banned, 2 gold farmers got banned at release of legion pre patch. Was well worth it as I bought about 10 wow tokens and a few mounts as well.

Yes you can lose your main account if they tie them together.

Character still did the crime - I am sure if they want to they can ban the account its transfered too. They would probably just ban every account on your IP.

First of all, you have to make a difference between Battle.net acc and WoW acc.
Under 1 Bnet acc you can have more Wow accs.

Yes it is.
Usually ppl use a gbank to minimize the risk, but it's not riskfree (doh)

Sometimes they do, sometimes they dont.

Again, if with main account you mean your main Wow acc, yes it can, if that pg is flagged. It's a pretty silly move doing that.

So you freely admit that you've already read the answers to all the questions you've asked, yet you feel the need to post your question anyways...

Why do you think the answers you receive here will be any different than what you already read?

Yes, anytime you interact IN ANY WAY with a botting account, you're at risk of losing all the items you're trading and your account, too. Blizz has every right to remove any item at any time and you have zero recourse against it. You own nothing in game and the only reason you can play is Blizz allows you to play.

Why do people continue to post these silly questions when they already know the answers?

Interesting thing I picked up from PTR. My main got banned in the June wave because I was being stupidly reckless and botting everything I could. Fire lands farming you name it. Figured I'd lose everything I gained out of that, but from what I can tell on PTR, nothing got taken away. Given that it was a big ban wave, I guess they just didn't have the resources to go through each individual case and see what gold should be removed. Thought I'd bring it up given the comment about blizz taking stuff away
