Botting on a larger scale

Hey there! So far I have mainly been botting on one to three accounts. I have been thinking about expanding and starting to bot on a somewhat larger scale.
The big problem I have is that my computer is not able to run more than two instances of World of Warcraft at the same time (and even those two barely).

So the obvious question is, what can I do? I played around with the setting of World of Warcraft already, but I think my PC is just too weak to handle more instances of the game. Are there any gaming servers one could rent to run a large number of accounts? Does anyone have any experience in that regard? Or would it be the best option to update my hardware and run the accounts on my home computer?

Would be awesome if anyone could provide me with some information on the topic.

Nah it is not that I can't afford it, I just really don't have another reason to update / get a new PC. What specs are recommended to run a large number of accounts? Let's say like 10?

Some contemporary Core i7, 6th or 7th gen would do the task, aimed with 32GB of RAM would be enough, and a 256/512GB PCIex SSD.

Any videocard would serve well (but you can choose some pretty one if you play other games)

I had 25 account running back in mop with a i7 4770k 16g of ram and a 125ssd and a gtx 630
you don'need 32 gb

Indeed, I was running fine my 10x wows in MoP all raiding in LFR with my old i7-920, w/o ssd and gtx 230, but the WoW client had 2 major upgrades since then and I can barely run 6-7 WoWs in LFR raiding on the same machine now and the CPU is boiling (its 30% overclocked to 3.5GHz)!

Regarding the RAM, it could run 10 WoWs in less than 32GBs of course, but we are not MOP now, and running 10 gather bots in same machine, same time is suicide now! So separating the botfarm with discrete VM for each 3-5 bots delivers better results nowadays, but this "eats" extra RAM as well.

Just get 8 more gb of ram, and get a second hand i7 cpu, you can find it cheap really. Also put everything in wow on dead minimum, including wow windows. That would be enough for 10 bots at least. And if you want more bots, just add little more ram, and a little more expensive i7.

Scaling physical mashines up is usually a great way for expand, but it have a few issues, which we must consider before purchasing:

1. Pumping up the power bill. Each new machine increase it, and depend on your local power price level, it could be harmless or not.

2. The extra time, required for administrating more than one machine - Windows, 3rd party software, WoW, etc. It will be considerably time-consuming in the start, but would be profitable in long run, imo.

3. The extra room for it - either have space for extra monitors, kbds, mouses, purchase physical KVM or get a software one - heard Synergy is quite good software KVM nowadays, but its not free indeed. Plus, the extra noise from extra machines can be disturbing at some point, especially if you sleep in the same room :)
 
Just curious, can you run multiple instance of WoW and HB in the same machine or do you use VMs to separate the instances?

okay when your cpi is boiling you need to look for a new heatsink or turn the ovverclock a bit down.
really?? on legion launch I could get wow running with less then 1g of ram for each client. how much do they want now then ?

yes you can back in the days I used to run 25 clients without any VM.
