Botting from level 60-80 DEAD with HB.

This is not intended to offend thedev or makers of HB.

I have just realized with the new cold weather flying being moved to level 68 and players being allowed to use their slower flying mounts (180%) for northrend (gr8 for hand leveling).

HB has become obsolete for anything but pvpving and grinding above level 60. Nobody in their right minds grinds anymore above 50 because of random dungeons giving such gr8 exp and IB becoming more and more AFK friendly.

If you roll with a grount mount then it's obvious you're a botter and you'll soon end up with a nice ban to show for time and money.

So as an official question: When will HB be moving to support flying mounts (this is even more important with IB progressing so quickly)?

I fear that making HB support flying mounts may be seen to be an error (some might say it will kill GB). However, this would be the sensible thing to do- making HB the one bot and incorporating everything into one bot. Most customers pay for lifetime if they wish to use both bots anyway.

I realize there is word on a GB plugin but HB support for flying mounts is needed now cold weather flying has been changed.
 
They could allow flying mounts but if your on a flying mount herb/vein gathering is disabled until they dismount. Something so that people won't use HB to farm in northrend/outland instead of GB.

I didn't have flying mount when I hand leveled in northrend. I could afford it, I just chose not to. Point being that its not obvious in any way that you're botting because you don't have flying mount. I see lots of people who thinks they can spot a botter but people play diffrently, and chances are that people who are bad at the game looks like bots but they don't infact have to be. Just my personal opinion, I see your point though, flying mount would indeed be awesome, but nothing I care to much about :p
 
Lets examine a few things first....
You say "HB has become obsolete for anything but pvpving and grinding above level 60" well then why do you need a flying mount for either. I have leveled 3 toons to date with pvp and just grinding mobs while waiting for pvp.

As for level 68 and cold flying. I actually didn't buy my regular flying training till 71 or so. Also how much faster are you going to go 50 yards on a flying mount, many quest are clustered and if you are using a bot you are or should be killing every mob anyway.

Honorbuddy is just for that, grinding, pvping and one day more for questing.
Gatherbuddy is for gathering I don't think GB would go away if HB had flying, that isn't really a concern.

I just leveled a DK with a friend and we hit 80 today and he still has no flying mount, even though he has the money to buy one. So just because people use a ground mount doesn't mean they look any more like a bot, than they did before the change. For anyone knows you fail at your in game financial and cant afford a mount.

I don't think the "air" can be mapped like the ground can. So flying mounts would require a waypoint system like GB uses. It would be a sidestep in the progress of HB... Take a step forward to take a step back.

I could be wrong about this though.
 
Hmm interesting I never thought about how we would use flying mounts in Azeroth. Maybe there is a way to map everything on the ground so we dont run into anything? Or maybe it switches from waypoint to mesh and back again. IDK seems really complicated.
 
imagine a matrix on the ground ... only x & y axis. imagine how long that took to make

now add a Z axis of 100 yards on top of that.

maybe something simple like x / y axis + 10 yards of ground height = flying height type of command?
 
Personally I'd like to see a GB single session option lifetime.

I don't want to pay for 30 daysat a time but I also don't need 3 sessions.

Is this possible?
 
There was flying mount support for AutoAngler (fishing plugin with flying between pools), but soon after devs officially disabled it.

Mapping for ground is anyway done in XYZ, not just XY so it would make no difference.
 
Since when does grinding require flying? Most of the profiles are meant to stay in the same area for 4-6 levels, to minimize the need for moving around the continent.

They will re-implement flying when they have the time. I don't see it happening until a few months after Cataclysm (at the earliest). There are other things they are focusing on right now. And they have already said that there are plans to incorporate GB into the HB bot sometime in the future.

But the title of this post is nonsense. If you want flying in HB, then your post should have been titled as such. HB works perfectly fine for 60-80, it's certainly not dead.

It would require a mesh like the 3d one here (I think HB is more like 2d atm) 2d_to_3d_mesh.webp

I think it would take years to generate such a mesh.

In addition I still use Hb to level over lvl 60...if you use grinding flying is not really needed

I just didn't buy it and acted stupid like i didn't know and i bought it at 77 at which point I was only pvping
 
Flying with HB could be easily implemented, but the devs have not said why it wont be or will be in the future. I dont think HB will be obsolete(confused about your logic there), I just want flying for the obvious reasons of leveling efficiency.

It would be nice to get an official answer on the future flying with HB, or just touch on the subject at all.

If they got boats and flight points I wouldnt give a rats ass about flying mounts. You could start the bot pretty much anywhere and it would find a way to get there.

This is exactly what I was talking about :)
 
Since there are no obstacles in the sky, you would not need a mesh type of navigation, you would only need waypoints like GB and other bots use, strictly for travel of course, it would be just like if they include GB as a plug in for hb.
You could have it so if HB sees a waypoint in a profile with z axis above a certain height, it knows its a flying waypoint and mounts up and begins on a predetermined flying path to a vendor, or new grind area, or repair.
Im sure its not as simple as all this but, I just think it would be super badass to have HB use flying mounts.

This is already possible with the use of plugins, you would use dal as a hub and hearth there then use the portals to pick your continent depending on zone specified in profile. CnG has already made a port taker prototype a few months ago.

Aren't all the co-ords containing a Z value.

Why could this not be used? Or simply when flying use the present co-ords but + 15 on the z value for open areas?

Maybe i'm barking up the wrong tree here. Either way I doubt there will be an official response.

Well when I use my argent tourney profile when I die HB cant get back to my corpse, my logs just keep saying "HB doesn?t support flying mounts" So imo it doesn?t work "Perfectkly" but again that could be because of the profile, but I dont know how to change it tho (the route) but your right tho, its not dead :)
