Botters in Massachusetts?

Just curious if there are any botters on this site from Massachusetts? Would be very nice to meet someone who is better than just leveling toons. I've been way too anti-social and would like to meet people who have similar interests in things like botting, computers, lan parties (if those still exist).

I have a girlfriend so no I'm not trying to set up a dating service lol. Anyone close by?
 
Reading these boards, I would imagine that the majority of people on here are not from the US. I'm saying that without any real data other than the amount of posts with less than stellar grammar, etc. which leads to me to think English is not their primary...or first language of choice.

At first I was quite surprised, but then I realized that in some countries, the $$$ you can make on botting and gold selling (depending on your age, etc.) can dwarf the $$$ you can earn in similar avenues. I do it just to have fun, but realized no one I've ever known state-side has ever botted besides me.

Man if I could go back in time, be 16 or 18 again, and chill out at home making $$$ off something I play and enjoy...shit. Back then I could only pirate Atari 400 games ;)

I know what you mean I feel like there are few US members. I'm 22 years old and really have a severe lack of friends. I have a few and I'm not a shut in, I just don't have a clue how to find people who are interested in the same type of shit. To find another botter from Massachusetts would be amazing for me.

It's not about the money since I have a well paying job, but I feel like if I can make money botting that money would be some extra cash that I wouldn't feel guilty about dumping into my nerdy hobbies. I'm so very into PC building and botting and anything like that. For a start I'd be thrilled to be able to expand my botting account to BC ROFL! Then from there hopefully buy WOTLK and eventually CATA with money made from selling gold.

Most importantly I'd just like someone with similar interests to shoot the shit with once in a while.

I missed that whole time period. I was a young PC gamer playing Doom and Road Rash. Then I was a console player. Now I took the plunge and invested in a new PC build along with an Asus G73 gaming laptop that can handle any game on the market with ease. No more consoles for me. Completely missed out on the lan party time and age. I'd love to put something together like that some day though!

It may be uncommon these days, but its just as easy as ever to get people to bring some PC/laptops and game. I miss having multiplayer when it was more like a group of buddies. Everyone bring a gaming rig and lets get some pizzas and beer or whatever and have FUN. I'd kill for something like that these days. I'm a people person but lately it seems like it's near impossible to get people together. I honestly blame xbox live :(
 
It's not just XBox but the whole move to online gaming with most every single release.

Who wants to play a standalone game anymore? Althoug, I did play Civ 5 for a while but the AI sucks so bad and MP is basically broke.

The thing is, MMO's were essentially the first genre of gaming to being about online play (text muds, then Meridian 59, UO, etc. etc.) and then the FPS followed and then pretty much every genre of game has an online portion...pretty much.

So no need for lan parties.

And as you said, add the consoles and online play into the mix and why leave the comfort of your house for most?
 
I live in the 128 belt around Boston. I think Ski is from Boston too.
 
BTW, in a past life when things were great, I worked out in Boston for 8 months.

I miss Red Bones, Mike's Pastries, and Beacon Hill pub real bad. In fact, I fucking miss foosball REAL BAD. I was like a rockstar out in some of the pubs that had tables.

Out West, NO ONE plays foosball.

Let's all have a meet up sometime? I'm sure I could learn more in 10 minutes with someone on site than I could reading for years. Ski would be a fantastic person to learn rapidly from lol. I mean I'm not so bad that I can't level toons, but I could use some fine tuning!

I 2nd this. Too True!

Though for 2 years, I Lived in a place that was perfect for LAN Parties. Me and another Guy rented a House, and set the Large Dining room as the Computer Room. Plenty space for about 6-8 people playing. One weekend we were bummed about no Internet. So we invited a couple friends over for a Warcraft 3 LAN Party. Plenty Pizza and Beer to go around! that was a fun night!

I live in New Bedford, Ma. I don't get to world of warcraft much anymore. Really kinda lost interest in it. Not sure why I even keep my accounts active. I havn't actually played it in a long time. I been doing a few other games. I just play maybe once a month for a hour or so while i am working my overnight 11p-7a shift. Nothing better to do here. Its just a your a body job. There is nothing at all to do beside sit in a chair for 8 hours.

You forgot having SOME social interaction. I'm not a multi-hr a day gamer, but I really don't do shit all day. I just wanna get together with like minded people, share botting tips/knowledge and have a good time. Some pizza and beer whatever. Just something I'd fine beneficial in my life and I'm sure it would be fun for all.
