Botter reporting other botters on Mal'Ganis (US)

I have a friend who is a GM for blizz and he has told me since all you have to do to report someone is right click them, that there are people who just report everyone farming. Those people end up have no credibility coming from their reports and they are talking about starting bans for people who excessively and fraudulently use the feature.

I remember in WoW Glider days when there would be over 100+ botters on the seashores farming neutral crabs. It was ridiculous! I'd watch more and more toons show up to an already crowded beach and just start up their bots. They were obviously going to bed for the night and planning to leave the bot in a place that they felt was safe from aggroing too many adds. I was one of the first people to farm crabs in one of those areas, and I knew when I saw all of the other botters show up that my account was done for even though I stopped using the area the first time I saw another guy botting there. It was not long after that when the first big banwave struck glider users. That kind of behavior simply begs to be reported. I have never, ever reported a botter. But, there have been times when I was tempted, and times like the one I just described where it was definitely going to be repored by someone else. :-(

this is what the problem is, everyone seems to think they are the only one suppose to be botting/farming in a single area. there are millions of players, and probably half a million or less botting. for instance, Ice crown cathedral people go there to farm frost weave or to power level their alts.

i personally go there to power level my alts. but now ( cross realm) everyone is there, so i don't bot over night like i use to. even when i'm there for 10 mins people start messaging me they are reporting me.
