Botany Leveling Profiles [Gatherbro]

Hey guys. I've been using Honorbuddy for years, and was very excited when Mastahg picked up FFXIV as a new project. While still in its early stages, I think Rebornbuddy shows a lot of promise. If its anything like the other Buddy Bots it will be capable of doing amazing things in a matter of months.

With that said, I've jumped on the RebornBuddy bandwagon and I've been fiddling around with it to see what it can do for me. I'd like to share with you guys the profiles I've made for leveling my Botany profession.

How to use these profiles:
You should be able to take the class quest for your level, head to the area recommended by the quest, and load up the corresponding profile. Once you've finished gathering for the class quest, you can remain in that area on that profile for a few hours and simply grind your way to the next available class quest. As an additional tip, to find where a profile's path starts you can pop open the profile creator, load the profile, and zoom out until you find the pathing. If you've run to the area described in the class quest and in the profile name, you shouldn't be far off.

I have used all of these profiles for several hours each, and each should be fully AFK-able. Before leaving your bot to do it's thing, however, I would recommend you watch it and note if there are any aggressive mobs in the area. Some of these profiles (like the level 25 one) path close to aggressive mobs or FATEs. If you want to be AFK-safe I suggest throwing up your stealth before leaving.

How does this work? I am a level one botanist and when i go to the central shroud I die.

Yeah, if you leave from the central-south gate in Old Gridania into the level 1-ish area, the profile should be just a few steps out that gate. There are no aggressive mobs there, and no fates you have to worry about (iirc).
 
Just uploaded the final profile. You should now be able to download these and get from 1-50 simply by picking up the class quest, moving to that area, and loading up the next profile every 5 levels.

Please leave feedback if you try the profiles - I'm willing to load them up and make some changes if anyone has issues with them.

I'm going to take a few days off and work on some combat classes, but once I get started on Mining I'll post my profiles for that as well.
 
Just got the bot and will try these when I have finished uni work on the 20th.

Can't wait to use them, are they afk 1-50 / do you have plans to implement this at any stage?
 
Unfortunately, they are not AFK 1-50. You have to manually move your character to the next grind area and load up the next profile. Its not entirely inconvenient though, because you'll want to pick up the next class quest at that time so you can keep your main/off hands up to date.

At this point, I don't believe Reborn Buddy's profile creator is capable of allowing you to establish waypoint routes between profiles and triggers to switch to the next profile. Especially since that would require zoning in and out of different zones or teleporting, and I don't believe it does that at the moment.

When RebornBuddy has reached a later stage of development and things like this are possible, I definitely plan to revisit these profiles and make them as AFK-able as possible. Hell, if teleporting, questing, and profile swapping are all implemented, it should be possible to make a 1-50 profile that picks up and turns in your class quest as well as moving you to the next grind area.

For now though, you'll have to interact with it once in a while to repair gear, pick up/turn in your job quest, and switch profiles. Still, a combined total of 30 minutes of work (repairing, questing, moving your character, and emptying your inventory) for 1-50 isn't bad I think.

Tried it foe a while, very good, very easy to use.

Just make sure you start near the gate of the zone and not teleport in.


Only problems I ran into was the bot trying to run through walls to get to the first node and the bot moving very bot-like
These have probably nothing to

other than that, amazing profiles
 
quick edit to one of the profiles as it needs to collect a different item in this zone for quests.

other than that, 0-25 = flawless

Using stealth and increase HQ item chance for maximum efficiency

Thanks for the feedback! :D I'll go back some time soon and set the profiles on the post to what you need for the quest. I've just been trying to work on other professions for the last week or so.

Thanks for the feedback. I changed the name of the level 45 profile and added your edited files to the main post. I had meant to go back and edit the gather item myself, but it seems you saved me from having to do the work. :)

Glad the profiles are working out for you.
 
now level 48, all profiles collect the required items now
Completely afkable, just know your zone and check whether you should stealth or not
and make sure you discover the required items before running the profile or you will just get shards

Great profile and good luck all using it

Just got the bot today on trial, Is it to be expected that the walking/pathing(?) is very blocky? like at no point during movement does the bot really look smooth also at times it seems to run into no passable areas and continues to run into them. I had heard the buddy bots were usually very well done and polished but I'm not to impressed so far. am i missing something? or is this something still being worked on i had heard this bot was still kinda new.

that said, to the guy who made the 1- 50 leveling points great job finding them all thanks! :)

The bot is still very new. To compare it to Honorbuddy is not appropriate. Honorbuddy has been around for years with a larger development team and thousands of users. RebornBuddy has been around (counting the beta) for months.

That said, the jagginess can also be blamed on my profiles. Though trying to run through impassible objects is not something I observed. Are you sure you're starting the bot near or on the profile path? Trying to start it in town will get you stuck on a wall.

I've only done the level 1 - 5 path so far and i began at blue badger gate like a few feet off from it to start. so i think i was on the right path, the mistake could have been mine. i did stop the profile once or twice while it was running to emulate some normal movement when other plays past by me. and then re started it from where it left off.

That said i think i understand I don't have much experience with any of the buddy bots. I always avoided them because how well known they are (I figured they would be a target during ban waves). only reason i gave it a try this time we because i heard currently SE has no security :P. Will have to wait and see what further development brings.

Thanks for the gathering profiles appreciate them regardless im sure they were alot of work.
 
Is there a way to implement the abilities while gathering such as Field Mastery or Leaf Turn to increase the experience rate?
