Bot without movement? Whats the point?

I've used HB for some time now, and I understand the difference between the different bots and why some move / target and others don't. But I've noticed less and less combat routines that offer movement and targeting. (IE: There are NO priest CC's that offer movement or targeting) Yes, I know singular does, but its not working atm. I just updated ALL of HB, including Singular, and it doesn't work. I enter a BG and it spams my HB window with "STUNNED: I've Lost Control" or something like that while running around with no stuns or debuffs, so now I cant use HB.

I understand that movement and targeting was left for "FULL AFK" CCs, and that most CCs are now made for LazyRaider. But I don't raid, I bought HB to play for me when I'm not at my computer. I work 2 jobs and go to school full time. I got HB to play when I can't, not to play for me when I'm sitting there controlling my own character. I know this will sound hypocritical, but that's lazy. If I wanted to sit there and play my character, I would play it myself. LazyRaider CC's imo are for people who just don't want to (or can't) learn a rotation.

Does have something to do with the supposed Ban Wave I've been reading about? Why are "FULL AFK" CC's getting harder to find?

If you have issues with Singular, then report the issues in the singular thread.

The reason there isn't as many routines with movement these days is because Singular does everything you need it to do for afk stuff, no point in re-inventing the wheel.

When MoP was first released, CLU was ahead of the game in updating the CC, so most people used it. It then got abandoned for PureRotation (and now the project is closed). Reason being Singular is 'good enough' to do everything most people need it for.

And the no movement routines are for the purpose of letting something else execute your rotation as perfect as possible, while you can focus on the rest. This allows many "average" players to rise to a higher level at raiding ... And just plain simple lazyness ofcourse ;).

But yeah, Singular is good nowawdays.

Yeah, I understand the point of it, and I get its usefulness, but wasn't this bot originally to bot for you, when the user couldn't play? Im just saying that it seems all the attention has shifted from 100% afk to only lazy raider. When I joined HB, every CC was a 100% afk profile. Then came LazyRaider, now its seems like 1% afk'able CCs. Singular makes the ONLY afk'able CC for the many classes I play now. So when something goes wrong with Singular, I can't do ANYTHING while I'm not here. I understand the usefulness of LazyRaider, but I work and go to school and I'm not often home to play, so it's kind of useless to me. It just seems HB has turned from helping the busy, to helping the lazy. Not complaining, I still use it, just cant use it as much as I used to. For example, the problem I had with Singular, every other CC worked on every other bot base, but non were afk'able. Yes, I can report it to Singular, but it still takes a while for him to look into and see whats happening and fix any issues. So because he makes the ONLY 100% afk'able CC for all the toons I play, Im kinda stuck until it does get fixed.

I've tried CLU before, but its been a while since its updated and is currently only tested for 5.1. Plus I've had issues last time I tried CLU that were unresolved.

Bobby usually has less than a day turnaround on fixing bugs (you may want to grab the development builds, not the trunk ones. He only pushes to trunk when things are fully tested and working, as this is what gets put into official HB builds)

Singular handles every spec well enough to be used AFK with any bot. However, the focus has shifted towards "high speed" CRs lately because they're in high demand. When you're fully AFK'ing, you don't need crazy high DPS or cooldown management. You focus on survival and killing things. Singular still pulls it's own weight as far as DPS goes, but it's also very very solid in just about everything it does. That's not to say it doesn't have its problems, but 99% of the time, it does what you need it to do. (FYI, Singular can out-dps even some CRs that are specifically written to be DPS machines)

Again, there are fewer and fewer "full AFK" CRs, because Singular handles basically everything that's needed. More and more people are raiding (which HB doesn't currently support fully), so there are CRs coming out to assist in that aspect.

Lastly, CLU has been discontinued in favor of Singular. As has been pointed out elsewhere, CLU was used due to the update lag in Singular. But since it's finally fully updated for MoP, CLU has kind of gone to the wayside, as Singular picked up the slack and started working much better than CLU did. (Plus, PureRotation came out :))

Adding movement/facing/targeting to a CR is really only a few lines of code. But it drastically slows the CR down if it's not really needed.

Well, the non afk CC's are nice if you wish to do a LFR while watching a tv show.
I have Tyrael going while I do homeworks or watch TV series etc.
Then I can just pay attention to the movement, and do rather good on the healing meters in the raid.
I get some loot, and I also help others out with keeping them alive.

However, I think that you can have movement off(or no movement cc's) while using Dungeonbuddy.
Not sure tho.

But I do not use the bot while I raid with my guild.
Thats something I do, because I want to be good at something.
I don't want something, make me seem better than I actually am while raiding with my guild.
For what shall I do, if the bot goes down some day and my dps drops with 20-30k because I did not bother to learn my class(es)?

Not really. DB does handle some movement during combat, but not the movement needed for your toon to be able to dps. It will move out of bad stuff and follow other encounter mechanics. For a healer a non-movement CR will work most of the time, as long as you don't get out of range. For melee you're pretty much fucked as it will never run to your target once combat starts.
