Short update on the api decrypting status.

There are thousands of people working on decrypting the api of niantic but new problems keep occuring and more variables of unknown. Judging from the dev channel , we are 1-2 weeks away from a decrypt and who knows for a bot functioning.

There is however 1 person who decrypted the code in 2 hours, but is getting sued by niantic so he did not share the code.

It's been 3 days now. If no one figured it out in the time frame that other did, then its a long wait. Otherwise it would have already been done mit.
 
prob there already on the '' we *****ed it '' but now how can we make sure '' we won't be tracked so easy back '' cat and mouse i love this bot soaps where the popcorn because this is pure sensation i call it well spended 4 euro even if i couldn't use the bot yet
 
I don't understand why you all think this will EVER get done. Niantic is the LEAST of your worries. Nintendo has had billions in stock value added, Google and Apple are making millions per day from the store... they are not going to let these API bots live. It's a miracle they lasted the few weeks that they did. If you think this bosslands bots is something you should see some of the free ones - they completely automated google account creation right thru leveling to 30++ via teleporting. you can make 1000s of PokeGo maxed out in days *by yourself*. then they sell at like $20 each however some have gone for literally $1000s. none of this is sustainable. All these bots are receiving very widespread MSM coverage as well.

Not being a programmer, the way I understand it is Niantic has restricted all API calls to the actual Apps - iOS and Android. that's also all they need, it's a 100% phone game. They DO NOT need and even want to encourage any 3rd party sites like pokevision and pokeadvisor. It's similar to an SSL certificate.

Even is the current encryption is hacked they will just re-enable it with new encryption. It's NOT that hard to separate out the incoming traffic between actual phone apps and web-based bots.

My point is, Nintendo and others has millions and billions riding on this game, and it's future. They are NOT, NEVER EVER, going to allow bots to create unlimited lvl30+ 140/140 maxed out pokemon accounts by the (literally) millions, and then sold. Not when people are paying them $$$ for a few pokeballs.
 
It's really up to the team of people working on this how much time/effort they are willing to spend before calling it quits or miraculous breakthrough.

If i've learned anything from any programmer it's that they can never give a solid ETA. It's finished when it's finished it could be an hour could be a week, maybe never. Just wait, and don't expect anything. If they give up or figure it out i'm sure they'll let you know.

Dissecting a reddit post does not make you an insider, nor a programmer involved in this project. You know nothing about the progress bossland is making, so don't make an announcement unless you have the facts.

You have no idea what you are talking about. It is not bossland itself who is decryting, its thousands of programmers uniting in 1 discord channel. Bossland company is just 1 small peice of all the coders.

Please refrain from posting when you have 0 knowledge.
 
New Update from the devs

After a productive day and impromptu teamwork by the community developers; out of remaining unknown new portions of the requests, we have discovered how to generate 3. The remaining request is understood, so we should have a request generator working; this is the next major milestone to completing the API. This does not mean a fix will be available in the immediate future. This simply means the team has made great progress.
Technical details will follow and there will be a write up, for now we have unlocked the channel and are back in swing. /u/keyphact

Bossland ist just unstoppable! Great Team and great work in reverse Engeneering. I just had a look at new API requests and it looks hard to decrypt. Well played.

Just finished reading the thread and it went from no hope to we made huge progress. Maybe everyone needs to just sit on their hands til a dev or mod updates us?

This is all being done by other people.

In fact, I noticed on the forums earlier that some of the devs actually working on breaking the API noticed that one of the buddy devs were in the development channel and asked for his removal since Pokefarmer is a paid bot and will ultimately use the fruit of their labors for profit, lol.

I mean, if it's open source, they are liable to have their code jacked anyways, and I wouldn't blame anyone for jacking said code to swivel chair into their own software.
 
The code is being reverse-engineered by about 30 people. Most scanners and bots will be using this code anyways so people are working together.
