Any chance a mass email could be sent out when the beta bot is updated after each patch / mini patch?


I'm sure a ton of people would love to see this option and I believe it would be a pretty easy task to be added into the forum options.


Kind of hate hitting refresh every few hours...


Could even work as a mass PM as long as people have their setting turned on for emailed PM alerts.



Maybe add email alerts on WoW mini patches so we know not to restart our bots.

Yes but that is still making me check every few hours on updates. I just want the end results not current status alerts lol.


Would work if you guys only edited the first post and then replied to the thread when it was finished.

Why would you not want status updates? And it is really that hard to check the forum from time to time? I think there are these new fangled things called smart phones that are around nowadays.

I like status updates if I want to go to the webpage I wouldn't need to be emailed about them though. I would much rather just get an email when the bot is up and running again instead of being OCD and checking anytime I'm bored... Would rather relax and know that I'll be given the soonest heads up when it's done.

Then subscribe to the thread as Chinajade said.
 
IMO a Twitter feed would work pretty well. PureRotation uses it and it's a pretty easy way to follow updates without having to find the current thread (and much easier on mobile). Another fix would be always using the same thread for updates, updating at the bottom (and editing first post like currently being done) and then locking it until needed again.

lol does everyone want their personal twitter and facebook pages tied to this? A lot of people are on the DOWN LOW....

You don't have to follow them to see at-a-glance everything that's happening, though. Here's PR: https://twitter.com/purerotation

Even not following them I can bookmark that one page and see changes much faster than pulling up the forum. Although, keeping all status updates in one thread would fix that too.
