Bot trains mobs, then dies trying to interact with quest item vs. fighting them

Hi all. Very strange behavior. Essentially, he was running to grab a quest item, and trained a crapload of mobs. Instead of fighting them, and then getting the quest item, he would attempt to grab the quest item over and over - failing because he was being hit - and eventually died. If I'm doing something wrong here, please advise. Log attached. Thank you.
