Hi there!

Buddywing doesn't start properly. It starts (I can see it in process list) but no window appears and I can't do anything.

It also starts a new process for each time I click which I can't turn off.
I tried a new install but it didn't work. I also tried restarting my computer. I also tried closing other software running on the computer.
So far I haven't been able to fix it.

Kind regards,

Logfiles pls. Also press CTRL shift esc, then taskmanager will come up, go to details or processes and kill BW.
You need to check if buddymonitor is not in your plugins folder, if so delete it.
If that doesn't help try buddywizard.

1. As I said I did a clean install, and the software doesn't start, so no log files I'm afraid.
2. I did write that I tried to close the BW process through processmanager and it doesn't work.
3. Buddymonitor isn't in my plugins folder.

I will use the buddywizard and see if that fixes my problem.
Edit: I can't find the buddywizard where it usually is. Can someone redirect me?

Kind regards,

I used the buddywizard, it didn't work. I can now pinpoint that buddywing.exe open up 3 processes at the same time. Noone of them pops up as gui though.

Edit: And none can be killed through processmanager. The only way to get rid of them is to restart my computer (as far as I know).

Do You have admin rights? It's also weird that it fires up 3x BW...
Still sounds like redistributables to me...

Yes I do have admin rights, and the .exe have "run this as administrator".
Any way to fix this? My buddywing license is running out and I won't buy a new one if I can't get it to work

Edit: What is "redistributables"?

The updates and .Net installments buddywizard does.
I've seen issues here where people had a certain update, that messed up the bot big time.
What you can try is, uninstalling all .Net installs and retry buddywizard.

I will try that :) Will edit the post when I have results.

Edit 1: I have .net installed like 5-6 times all the same version, So far it seems like that is the problem.

Edit 2: That fixed my problem and everything is working perfectly right now! Thank you sir!

Edit 3: It let me start the bot 3 times then the exact same thing happends. I now have 5 processes up, can't close a single one of them and can't open up a new one....

Weird, did Windows update again and added new .net? Whats your windows version anyways?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Service pack 1.

I currently only have 1 .net in my installed software and that is Microsoft ASP .NET MVC 4 Runtime.
As I haven't installed it myself nor have I installed software since the buddywizard, I guess its from the buddywizard.
But as I said it worked to start the bot 3 times. I had to restart it 3 times to actually get the routine loaded as it didn't show up in the settings. The fourth (4) time I started the bot I got 5 processes started at the same time, and no GUI. Also no way to actually close any of the processes...

Kind regards,

Do You want to multibot? As in running more then 2/3 copies of swtor and BW?
That's not possible in the same windows environment. After 2/3 BW doesn't connect to the swtor windows.
Maybe that's your issue. If you want to multibot your only option is to use VMWare for every copy of BW and swtor in 1 VM each.
Then your limit is Your PC if it can handle that much VMs

If you go the VMware route the only luck I have had is with Win7x32 any other VM I couldn't get to play the game.

Did you get this fixed? I had a similar issue. I got passed it by right clicking and using Run as Administrator. I'm also using Windows XP compatibility.

I dont multibox. Only 1 bot/client. And ofc I only start the bot once. I got some routine problems though. So I had to close buddywing and then start it again. I did this 3 times and everything worked fine (No additional processes). Then the fourth time It just fucked up and started 5 processes at the same time and the problem was there again. I will try with win xp comp.

Very weird... I really don't know where to look for to help you.
Do you have a macro mouse or something? Antivirus that's running, firewall?

I do have antivirus and I do have firewall running. But as I stated it worked perfectly before this last patch.. I will try turning them off though.

Edit: Running in Win XP comp didn't work

What if you tried to fix swtor from launcher?
It has an option somewhere in the launcher.

Extremely good news, it was my antivirus all the time. So a warning for Avast antivirus when it comes to Buddywing
