I bought the bot about 2 hours ago. Couldn't find how to load my customclass because there wasn't a button to do it so I skipped that and downloaded the profile "botanist_58-68_grind.xml" and clicked start. The profile creator said to start at Hellfire Peninsula which didn't work, so I went to Ruann Weald in the hellfire peninsula since it kept saying "Changing profile to Blades Edge Ruuan Weald 64-67", which I know shouldn't be the case since the bot should automatically find a way there. I clicked start and it auto loaded the "prince of darkness" as my combat class and indicated it started, but my character does absolutely nothing.

I checked the debug log and here's what I get

[1:49:11 AM:921] System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'j' threw an exception. ---> System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.SQLite, Version=1.0.65.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139' or one of its dependencies. WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

Post a log as an attachment and i'm sure someone can help you out.

A couple of things to check...
  • You must be running .NET 3.5 SP 1 (.NET 4.0 doesn't count), and 3.5 SP 1 must be fully patched via "Windows Update" after you get it installed.
This Wiki page should help you through that:
    [wiki]Buddy products: Installing the .NET 3.5 Framework[/wiki]
  • The second thing to check is that both the WoWclient and Honorbuddy must be "Run as administrator"
Your account having 'admin privileges' is insufficient.

Holler back, if neither of these get you straightened out. And as Gimik said, a log as an attachment prevents a lot of guessing at the problem.

cheers,

flatman55,

First, please learn how to use attachments. Its the "Go Advanced" button at the bottom, then if you scroll down you'll see a "Manage Attachments" button for adding your logs and whatever else you need. If you cut-n-paste again, you may piss off forum readers, and sometimes the mods will even jump on you.

My current user profile is labeled as "Computer administrator" and I get a bad password message when trying to "run as.."

This tells me your on WinXP instead of Vista/Win7. For XP, the 'administrator' thing shouldn't be a problem, then. So, ignore that part of the previous instructions.

However, we know Windoze XP doesn't ship with .NET 3.5 SP1, and you should go make sure it is installed correctly, and doesn't require a "Windoze Update" to patch it further. If you need help with this, see...
[wiki]Buddy products: Installing the .NET 3.5 Framework[/wiki]

Next, it looks like you don't have Honorbuddy installed correctly. It is unable to find the System.Data.SQLite.dll that should be in the Honorbuddy directory.

Try a clean reinstall at something like C:/Games/Honorbuddy, rather than going so deep in the directory tree. It looks like you either didn't fully unpack the .Zip file, or you didn't preserve the directory structure contained in the .Zip file.

cheers,
chinajade

well I followed everything up to installing .net 3.5 sp1 where I get an error about visualstudio2008. After working on it for a few hours I've just about given up; .net 4.0 installed fine for some reason, too bad I can't use it

I cannot fathom what .NET 3.5 has to do with Visual Studio--they are not the same things at all. <sigh>

Did you try a reinstall of Honorbuddy into a clean directory? Do you see a System.Data.SQLite.dll in that directory?

If we can't work this out, we may need to get Tony to help you through Live Help, but he's indisposed for a couple of more days.

guess I'm going to have to wipe my hard drive and reinstall all my programs just to run honorbuddy. sigh
