Bot not detecting all Pokemons

So i noticed that if I drop the bot to farm around an area where I know there is a pokemon that I'm looking to catch it won't see them and instead it will target the usual "garbage" ones like spearow, rattata, pidgey and nidoran.

In this case, Im talking about ponyta, Lickitung, growlithe. There are more than those, but this are the 3 I can remember at this point.

At one point i even placed myself in an charmeleon nest, it will see about 5 in the area, catch one and then go off to catch more "garbage" pokemons. I will then stop the bot, place the marker right back in the area and it will just ignore them totally.

is this suppose to happen ?
