Hi
I have been struggling for a while now, nearly few months :) . But I always thought "next patch will fix it" however I decided to collect my thoughts in one post maybe can help others and myself.

First slowness I noticed was running HB in combat or other bots in PVP areas, especially Ashran. I didnt bother tbh, since I didnt do much PVP.

However I noticed (about 4 patches ago) that there is an issue with FPS. I tried using DX9, using it another PC, but nothing worked.

the most anoying issues started in most recent update (Honorbuddy 2.5.13860.786). Its very slow, in all aspects. When i start it, it takes a longer time than ususal (i disabled few items from HB store, this made it a bit faster but not as before). when I load a questing profile it takes way longer (using 1-100 Questing Profile Pack on Questing bot), then when i press start also it takes way longer than usual to start.

The real problem (which made me write this post), when the toon moves following HB commands it struggles! for example engages with a NPC and starts fight it casts few spells then stops then after 10-15 seconds if not dead it continues! also moving have another issue, the WOW itself hangs and FPS drops to 0 then it comes back 3 seconds later, this repeats every 30-35 seconds

here is my troubleshooting steps I took:
1- deleted/uninstalled HB few times, removed the folder completely
2- I have McAfee AV, I made sure HB is trusted. then I disabled the AV
3- cleared WOW cache
4- ran HB in admin mode (always do actually)

i did all above in one shot or combinations :) still nothing.

few things that came to my mind, maybe updates that Windows do might have something to do with this slowness. I noticed Java also updated to latest version. here are Windows updates that I think may affect HB:
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 for Windows 7 x64-based Systems (KB2901983)
(The Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 is a highly compatible, in-place update to the .NET Framework 4, 4.5 and 4.5.1. By using the .NET Framework 4.5.2 together with the C# or Visual Basic programming languages, you can write Windows Store apps. The .NET Framework 4.5.2 delivers better performance, reliability, and security than previous versions) maybe some enhancemnts of .NET Security have to do something with HB?

and an earlier version of the update (almost this is when the problems started to become unfavorable)
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5, 4.5.1 and 4.5.2 on Windows 7, Vista, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 x64 (KB3037581)
Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3045685)

here is a log for one of my toons questing, it was lagging while walking or mounted, when it attacked a NPC it casted 2 spells then stopped 15 seconds then casted few spells to save itself in last breath. of course starting HB and loading the profile and other tasks were all slow.

try to delete your "D:\Honorbuddy\Settings" folder and restart the bot and give a new log after plox.

Same issues :(
I restarted my PC (don't know why), then deleted WOW cache, then deleted the content of Settings folder. I started WOW, logged a Shadow Priest in Org, then I started HB. it took long to start, long to load questing profile, when i finally pressed start it took it near a minute to start walking to Flight Path Master to take flight to Tanaris. While mounted to the hot spot, it lagged, when it engaged with NPC it lagged so bad that it died 3 times. I dont mean by lagging a latency issue by the way, i mean between cast and another, or one move to the next, it takes 5-15 seconds to take next action. In addition to FPS dropping to zero.

the log file shows that something is messing with your Hb installation, looks like an antivirus program

I disabled my McAfee AV and Firewall, then restarted WOW and HB... same problem.
Then I uninstalled HB, and downloaded the ZIP file, extracted it and ran it... same problem. the same issue of "Error trying to save the settings file: The file exists" keeps appearing in every way I try to get HB to run..
not sure what else i can do!

Edit: I also turned FW settings off for the WOW and HB, just opened all ports and disabled Net Gaurd. I also dont use any video capturing tool. by the way I have GTX 570 for past 2 years and no problems, of course the driver keeps updating and currently am on version 350.12

uninstall McAfee and let me know plz

sorry it didnt work either after removing McAfee Total Protection (removed all AV and FW and others), however i started a VMWare Win8.1Pro image and only installed WOW and HB in plain... didnt allow Windows Update to update the C++ library thing and its working... you may want to check if there is an incompatibility with the new patch of Microsoft

now i have a problem with mouse in VMWare Windows image :), when i try to move with mouse the screen goes banan and just circle around crazy.. any ideas to this problem? in addition to the main problem :P

yea, because of how VMWare handles the mouse. you would have the same problem if you used VNC as well.
