I have the same problem. I also start the game with a different character than the one that was selected at game start. I choose artharas and ended up starting with bright wing for some reason. The bot locks up until I choose talents for it. Also in the talents dialog there is nothing there when you select your character, however, after the bot has been running for some time it seems random characters will have those talent fields filled AND if you choose a character where the tallent field is filled the bot will work. If you choose one with empty fields, you get this error set until you manually choose a talent.

P.S. I get booted for inactivity during tribute level. It says moving to tribute and he just stands where the tribute was until the curse is over, as a consequence i get booted for inactivity.
