Bot detection?

Any experience with GMs using "regular" accounts to see if a toon might be botting?
I've only been on for an hour and a half this session, but I'm doing so from a .. let's say questionable IP.. (I travel for work)..
I got two whispers in the last bit.. just wondering if it was a GM trolling to see if I was doing stuff unattended..

GM's don't use normal accounts to talk to people(unless they are playing for themselves). They log into a special GM account

Okay, just thought maybe they'd poke around on a regular-looking account to reduce suspicion ... My job is to keep people from doing things they aren't supposed to be doing, so it's something I might do if I were a GM LoL ...
