Blogs Gone?

I would really like to know why the blog section vanished. I put alot of work into guides and used it to store my profiles so people can find them easier. Most of the links in my sig are dead now. What is going on here? Are we subject to things just disappearing without an explanation? This is the last thing we need after all the server issues.
