When I logged into WoW today I had to accept a new Terms of Use Agreement and upon reading through it I noticed a section on consent to monitoring your RAM for third party programs. Is this new or has it been around for a while? Is it a concern?

I copy pasted the section from blizzard's Terms of Use below:

Consent to Monitor.

"WHEN RUNNING, THE GAME MAY MONITOR YOUR COMPUTER'S RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY (RAM) FOR UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS RUNNING CONCURRENTLY WITH THE GAME. AN "UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM" AS USED HEREIN SHALL BE DEFINED AS ANY THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE PROHIBITED BY SECTION 2. IN THE EVENT THAT THE GAME DETECTS AN UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM, THE GAME MAY (a) COMMUNICATE INFORMATION BACK TO BLIZZARD, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION YOUR ACCOUNT NAME, DETAILS ABOUT THE UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM DETECTED, AND THE TIME AND DATE; AND/OR (b) EXERCISE ANY OR ALL OF ITS RIGHTS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT, WITH OR WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE TO THE USER."

Any thoughts? :)

Seen that also, but its a known fact that they have been watching. guess they are kicking it up a notch. I got prompted for that also after a random dc in heroic ds... didnt think much about it.

Oh god stop it, it's like the forth post in the last 24hrs.

It says the same stuff since glider which was easily 5 years ago, so why post now?!

Screw Blizz and their ToS, if they are dumb enough to perma-ban me I guess they will lose out on 3 accounts of mine a month and probably my best friends too. I'm just worried Milton Bradly is going to show up at the house and demand my Monopoly game back because I give everyone $200 for passing go and myself $300. These software companies have lost their minds in terms of "intellectual property" or guess the court system has for backing these outrageous claims.

i never even didnt read it in 6 years of wowing lol i dont give a sheet:) about their ToS.
