Apparently Blizzard has this new "anti-cheat" system (or total invasion of privacy deemed legal by their atrocious terms and conditions that we all accepted and few ever read) where it will scan your computer for information like CPU, OS, and other harmless information like that. Oh and also, it seems scan for any running programs or websites open at the time.... hmmm that seems unsettling because I always have HB forums open and had em today when I logged on to WoW a few minutes ago. I find this extremely .... interesting and was wondering if anyone else knew more about this?

This has been in the WoW client since Alpha days.

It just submits some info about your hardware so they can get feedback on how things run.

It doesn't submit anything bad. (This topic has been discussed hundreds upon thousands of times over the years)

Take your tinfoil hat off cause Blizzard isn't looking at your pornz. Blizzard periodically does hardware surveys and they don't contain any personal information. Hence the "Non-Personal" part of the message.

Your talking about the OLD warden... The old warden Years and years ago scanned window names, processes, stuff like that. It was removed.

yep old old old warden scanned outside of its memory box, now it can't (as far as we know). I remember changing glider to iTunes.exe or Limewire.exe :)

this simply submits your video card, cpu, memory for cata and to see who is using what, nothing personal (get it? lol)

You have no idea what you're talking about. Seriously did you copy+paste that from some 5 year old thread you found on google?

Everyone knows that all you have to do to fight warden is delete scan.dll......

What I figure is he Googled Blizzard Spyware World of warcraft, and Was reading a post about warden not knowing that it that it doesn't do that any longer.

Case closed, We all asked stupid questions every now and then.
