Thank you for your mail, every voice matters at Blizzard!

Now in regards to your login query I just wanted to let you know what has happened.

In WoW we have a security system which checks your login, and looks to see if you are logging in from a different place to normal. If it seems that someone is trying to log into your account from somewhere it does not count as the home location, then it will temporarily lock your account and reset your password. It does this as a security featuere to protect your account from hackers.

So from what I can see everything is fine, and I hope everything is okay with you!

I hope this information helps, we want to do our best for you guys!

Warmest Regards,

So if they really are not tracking IP's how can they know from what location I'm loging?

Blizzard Can monitor your IP at anytime (you're connecting to their servers,Duh)

They just don't use it for bans unless there is an investigation in process.
As in, they won't ban everyone using a certain IP because they found a couple of bots using the same IP.
They'll investigate first, then consider banning using IP to identify bots.

At least that's what i think =)

yea the monitor it for your saftey. Bcause when someone hacks your account / you get pl'd / use proxy to hide something you are loging in from random area of world other than what you normaly would

At that point it locks the account.

Yes they definitely no your ip as i had problems before and he could tell me my ip and what broadband service i was using.

I started this because I remember that when I asked if changing IP every few hours while botting from different accounts would help someone said "it wont help much blizz stated many times that they dont track your ip"
