Bind your shopaccount to your forumaccount post by bossland

Now I'm a user for quite some time here, bought lifetime when it became available.
Does this post mean that if I don't connect my shopaccount with my forumaccount, that I will not be able to download in the future? Since I can still reach the download page and downloads on them I assume it's a future endorsement that is planned.

Further I don't really see the use of combining them (besides the fact that I probably don't even remember the details on the shopaccount, lol) other than that you can shut down both forum and botaccount at the same time.

So what it boils down to, do I HAVE to combine em, or can I just be who I am, and still download everything?

Honestly I have no idea what all this binding stuff is and whether or not I have to do it. My plan was just to blow it off until it became an issue.

That's why I made a post for it, since I can't reply in the OP's topic (no allowance).
I would love some clarification on what's the deal with this combining.

As said, Do I HAVE to, is it an option, etc.

We'll wait for one of the staff with knowledge about this (so probably hawker or bossland himself, since he posted this in the first place).
I don't see Hawker on my MSN anymore (either I'm blocked, or he's hiding because too many peeps are nagging his ass. I recently learned he's hiding on Skype nowadays) so I can't ask there.
I don't see the point in asking Ski, FPS or anyone else I do have online every now and then on my MSN, since these kind of decisions are not discussed (at least I don't think so) but implemented by 1 or tops 2 persons.

It was simple and painless when I did it during the first introduction a few weeks ago. I mean, I agree with you in the fact that I can see it being a way to ban people from botting if the accounts are combined, but other than that I can't see it doing anything other than letting the mods know who's a Lifer and who isn't.

On another note, it really only took a few seconds to do, and mine worked just fine. I did it the first time around when they brought it out. I just clicked the given link, filled in the shop info, submitted it, and my avatar was showing Lifetime beneath it.

im sure it has to do with VB usergroups. it pulls your products from the shop to put you in the correct user group. eliminating some of the manual changing required.

Filled in username and password, hit "save changes" and it said all was good. Wasn't any special confirmation related to linking them, just the standard confirmation when you update your profile.

i tryed it on internet explorer same error while im being lifetime weird

I forgot my shop password or log in and everytime I use the retrive function it never works, also I forgot my login name as I have a different one with the shop and another for the forms
