Well, I for one will not be paying a sub, because the game was never worth a sub and neither is WoW.
When DCUO went f2p and merged servers it did only one thing it allowed the people who bought the game and realized what a stinking pile it was to still log on and play from time to time. Which I still do from time to time...
SWTOR has more going for it than DCUO, D&D, Champions, LOTRO etc but it is still hurting because they force the player to do it exactly one way, even the conversations have little to no impact, WoW is much more open and has more options of what you can do that keeps WoW on top. But, GW2 is going to hurt every MMO that is not WoW BAD and it will hit WoW as well. I for one have already dropped 6 WoW accounts and will be dropping the rest when they annual pass is completed; I even got a few banned to get out of the annual pass....
Anyway, the option to pay a sub is the right way to go, but a lot of people will try GW2 and realize they can have huge open world free form raids just by logging in and walking over there, plus group content for friends and guilds, plus the best pvp around => ALL for no sub at all
I dunno how 5 abilities can make a good PVP game. SWTOR is prob the most fun PVP I've ever played, mostly because I have lightsabers lol.
5 abilities, lmfao you have no clue, every weapon and offhand has a set of skills + skill points + class skills.
so before you just assume it is bad maybe you should actually try it; unless you are just a grind, forced grouping, forcing players to not want to play in the same area ( kill snaking etc) there is no reason to not love gw2
gw2 has the most complex rich pvp around; because you have to think on your feet a.k.a. less cookie cutter oh it's a disc priest do xyz and win in gw2 the disc priest can change tactics mid fight and change all his skills on the fly
what that means is the game is more about skill and tactics and not who can hit the "right" rotation, I know pvp is not about rotations but maybe you will understand.
anyway, you can't make someone who refuses to see the truth see it, and that can go both ways
hopefully free to play will keep swtor alive for the real fans of star wars, and yes tor pvp is fun, but erysipelas very simplistic
