So I start up my BGBuddy and the first zone it hits, Isle of Conquest, I see everyone storm out of the gate. Then, I see myself walking 10 feet up and 3 feet back for a while. I look over and I see 6 others doing the exact same thing as me. I can only imagine they were all using BG Buddy too. I think BGBuddy needs more "randomization" when pathing because it's way to noticeable that they are bots there.

this is why bgfarmer exists. if you use bgbuddy afk at all, expect to be banned the same day

same with bgfarmer it seems.. to be honest i have never used either but all i see on the ban forums is using BGBuddy/BGFarmer and ban pretty quick... honestly blizzard has gotten more strict and they monitor botters more often it seems so I wouldn't recommend botting much afk or risk getting account banned, but honestly you could monitor bot 100% and still get banned, just less likely In my opinion, as well as dont use aspects of the bot that are riskier than others. It's more common sense/checking forums frequently for what people are getting banned for/others thoughts will help you as well.

I don't bot afk. I just use this so it runs around the battlefield for me. I watch it while I work at home. What's the point in having it though if it's so detectable and so easy to see from another player?

I also don't believe I need to buy another addon for something I've already bought. It should work, and work well out of the box. If they allowed us to make a profile for the battlegrounds at least we could have different paths or something? Maybe make more paths and choose one by random to take instead of the same one.

I can almost assure you that blizz does not monitor BG's in any way, shape or form...They have 9-39 other people in the BG's to to do their monitoring for them. You can monitor your bot all you want in BG's. People can report you by clicking on your portrait and reporting player. You'll never know who or how many people reported you in most cases. Even if you get called out in a BG, there could've been 38 other people that reported you without ever saying a word.

while not a instant ban i believe bgfarming and buddy or whatever u wanna call it is the highest chance of ban

It's always been easy to spot other bots in BGs. It just took a while for the general population to catch on that we're botting and not simply complete idiots.

im not talking about actively monitoring, but i believe they have algorithmic behaviors that bot does that a human player is less likely to do., how else they ban people that watch their bot 100% of time and everything seems normal nobody whispering.. bot doing well... etc..? I'm not 100% sure on any of this but would make the most sense how people get banned so easily/quickly doing BG's while monitoring. Take the risk at your own, never bot on an account you can't risk to lose because it's not a matter of "IF" you will get caught its a matter of "WHEN" you will get caught.

You obviously didn't read a single word I wrote.

Anyone can report you at any time. Just because people aren't whispering you that they reported you, it doesn't mean that you haven't been reported a thousand different times.

Monitor your bot all day in BG's all you want, it won't make any difference. You're still botting the most obvious and unsafe way possible. You're still being reported left and right, even if you aren't being called out for botting. Damn near every wow can player can easily spot a botter these days.

People that do BG's a lot already realize that whispering people that they reported means nothing as most botters AFK bot these days. They just click your portrait and report you. It's more simple for them it's faster and even if you do respond, it's blatantly obvious to them that you're botting. It's not going to save you at all if half the team has reported you.

yes, the main reason why people get banned is player reporting, at least thats what everyone wants to make you believe, regardless i dont do much risky botting as others so i dont really care too much just putting my 2 sense in how I think they ban so easily or quickly in BG, not saying that player reporting is not a big part just I think people give too much to player reporting. nobody truly knows but everyone is quick to point the finger at someone reporting instantly because so obvious. Blizzard will not tell you directly how they catch for reasons such as these where people are theory crafting why everyone gets banned. No evidence=no proof as to why most bans happen. Bot at your own risk guys as stated. I would just frequently check forums for ban's/which part of bot is causing etc if you want to keep botting on same account for descent amount of time, as well as monitor as much as possible. There is a reason BG botters are getting banned so frequently, do the math yourself. Been going since vanilla.

I also like the point you made about not actively monitoring, yet they are watching "algorithmic behaviors". That sure sounds a lot like monitoring to me...

And that's what people want you to believe concerning reports? Are you saying that Blizz is just randomly and selectively choose people to ban in BG's just for the hell of it? Once again, that sure sounds like monitoring to me.

And are you saying that you've never been banned since vanilla? Because I see a post from you on October 28th saying you were banned that day...So did you make that report up or are you just bad at actually trying to get your point across in a coherent manner?

You are all wrong - it is a combination of everything anyone can think up of. (conspiracy)

So you are all right.

Shhh move along..

unsubscribed to thread for pointless debate, if you guys have any real questions feel free to PM me. But honestly as stated, with enough research/using BRAIN you can figure out what to risk and what not to risk. I have my methods and others have their's. and most don't show any of their methods, but many are quick to point the finger and argue until that ban hits them. Take what I said with a grain of salt or use your BRAIN! With 2 button push you can see that ryftobuddy is forum troll.

Since the folks who are monitoring the bg anyways, just randomly click onthe wow window and do a raid chat. :P I assume that these are the people who are doing their work while botting at the same time. :)

This conversation has been well articulated by both sides so many times it is hard to count. Ultimately it is just a free feature to something you paid for. These forums were open to browse when you bought HB nothing was hidden on them from anyone at anytime.

They could easily remove BGBuddy and still sell HB licenses with little change.

I guess if calling people like you out on your BS, I guess I'm a troll.

Saying to use your brain while botting is about the only worthwhile thing you've ever said on these forums.

You are absolutely correct! I'm going to assume that since the name of the program is HonorBuddy, their initial intent was BG farming, right? If the BGBuddy really is as worthless as everyone says, why not just release the code for it and let people work their magic. My initial intent of this post was to make it aware (just in case it is not aware) that using this is CLEARLY obvious. If it's that clearly obvious that you are botting, why not just disable the feature? Leaving it there is not only risking the accounts of those who use it, but risking the livelyhood of the program in general.

If too many people get banned while they were "actively monitoring 100%, 24/7 on 17 accounts" (lol, i see that too much) then it loses trust in the product and more people will leave. The more people that leave, the less people want to customize it to try to make some money. Then you will have a much worse product at the end.

It would be awesome if they separated out BGBuddy and made it an addon bot and allowed us to modify it. Then we could change some stuff with it and make it much less bot-like.
