BGBuddy in a group

So I was wondering if this is possible. Lets say I group up with people to do some BG's. If I want to just bot, will HB detect that I'm in a group and not the leader and wait to join? Or do I need to be the leader to queue for a BG?

I am having a similar issue, I like botting when I am in a baradin hold raid group but the bot wont queue. Just says waiting for leader to queue, anyway to fix this?
