Better security against banning

I'm currently running HB with 2 accounts, and I wondered would it help to make a new virtual computer for other account, and change IP, so it could avoid ban in case the other account gets hit.

Virtual PC is a PC inside a PC, with different windows, MAC adress, and WoW installation folder. So would setting this up actually help, and are I missing something here? What computer/network information would be needed to change to not get caught?

100% of all HB bans are the result of a stupid user.
0% have ever been led back to PC, WoW installation, IP address or any other IT related matter.

To not get caught you should simply not do anything that a normal human can't do. As long as you look human you will never get banned.

and those % are 100% guesses and 100% wrong.

?? are you sure? How about the people that get multiple bans on all their accounts after they noticed one bot, then they banned the rest as well. With your logic, it was a coincidence that all of them got banned at the same time?

If he had have all his accounts with different names/ip/mac number etc, i doubt that all the accounts could have been banned.

they all got banned because they all had something linking them, we dont know what it is, we arent blizzard.

agreed to all stated...everyone ive ever known who has been banned was due to something stupid like leaving your bot running for days on end and just plain greed.

my moto is monitor bot as much as possible...take frequent breaks and never leave a profile unattended that i havent tested fully

If you have a different computer, internet provider, name and region settings, wouldnt it be impossible to link your other botting account to other? If it would be possible, then everyone is linked to everyone, and because someone else bots, you too can get banned, and i highly doubt that is the case :D

Those conditions are hard to meet on every account, but if we could find a way 100% to look like we had all those things, then they could ban only 1 account at a time.

The virtual computer having different MAC and windows tries to mimic you having a totally different computer. Proxy tries to mimic having a different internet provider, and name/region settings you can handle yourself :D

We dont need to know what they know, if NOTHING we have links us to our other accounts.

While perfection is hard to attain, I think it wouldnt hurt at least to try your best, and see if it works or not. I think the most problematic would be the proxy, because there are ways around it, but I think as long as we are using our own computers that we can modify and customise, and they are just looking what we have on those computers, we can fool them, with one way or another

the whole point of running multiple accounts is to farm gold, so chances are they where mailing items to each other, if you want to speculate, then there is the link, linking all of the accounts.

If you look at the way accounts are linked, there are way easier things then IP, ISP, MAC etc.

How about all your farmers send their stuff to your AH toon?
How about the way you pay for each account?
How about the way you log on to the Blizzard website for each account?
How about they are all in the same guild?

Blizzard can much more easily link your accounts by ingame or battle.net information then by technical computer information. And if your toons aren't interacting ingame then you're making a *lot* less money then you would by simply paying attention to what you bot and being a bit cautious.

Every time you login to the game the ip you log in from is stored, but then again you can always claim you are playing from a school or something else. most people who run several accounts don?t even run them on the same server, so AH/Guild and login to battle.net?

Good. This shows us that there are needs for more detailed ban reports. If we want to understand the system, it would be crucial to know all the links and precautions the banned user has made.

Amount of stuff put to AH, mailing stuff to your other accounts, and if so, the amount, if multiple account suspensions at the same time, did all of the accounts use the same IP/Computer/Windows?

Edit:

Yes, we need more details, and need to use those details to make suggestions that will help fellow botters to stay out of harms way. For example, that logging on to your b.net account could be heavily overlooked, and if we get proof that it could be a way blizzard links accounts, it could be recommended for botters to use different IP when accessing b.net (for example).

Yea (sarcasm) thats a awesome idea, i already cant get people to fill out ban reports correctly, or truthfully, lets add even more questions people can lie, and not fill out. that's sure to get people to fill it out. the first 10 reports that came in during the sn0wball thing, all of them said, they weren't using hacks. if they wouldn't of lied, then after the first 3 reports it would of been clear what the problem was, but people didn't start filling them out right till after mmowned (forgot the new name, whatever its called) reported it was people using sn0wball that are getting banned. whats the point when people dont fill it out, and people lie when they do?

as it stands right now, the questions that are on there are designed to make sure its not a CC or a Plugin getting people banned, there are a few exceptions like the "Amount of auctions" but they are ment to figure out if we have a problem with the bot, not find patterns in what blizzard is looking for.
