Best XP/Hour?

I can get around 4b xp/hour on my DH (M6, fire multishot), but it's the only class I've really optimized for botting so I don't have anything to compare it to.

What xp rates are you getting with other geared classes/specs?
 
I'm averaging about 15-17b xp/h with the cookie cutter wastes/IK barb. It runs mid to upper 40's.

Well, my DH always seemed to like taking smoke breaks during battles and hugging elites on pretty much any Trinity version I tried, so I ended up building a DH that would survive it instead.

Thank you for your detailed insight though. The community is better for it.

I have cookie cutter wastes/IK barb and it does GR around level 45-48, but it has average 2.6- 6 B xp/h. How can you get
15-17B xp/h?
 
15-17B also with Dashing Strike Monk

EDIT: After timing the xp instead of looking at the DB Xp Counter I'm at around 9b/h without the Ruby.

7-15b/h depending on the grifts i get
usually running 45-48 keys
ds monk without ruby
 
I run with the ruby in the helmet for the XP boost. Without it falls to around 10b xp/h.

In everything except GR's a 41% ruby increases xp to (1600)+(41) = 1641% (additive)

In GR's a 41% Ruby increases xp to (1600)x(1.41) = 2256% (multiplicative)

All %xp boost works this way, Leoric's Signet, Cain's Set, Hellfire Ring and bonus xp per kill is also effected by the 1600%. Hope that helps!

Maximum possible boost is 41 + 45 + 50 + 30 = 166% from Ruby/Hellfire/Cain/Leo and would give (1600)x(2.66) = 4256% Bonus exp.

Might be viable for powering through lower GR's if you faceroll them in 3 minutes anyway :P

But how doesnthe bonus XP pr kill on gear work?

Ok so overall we have:

GR's - Exp multiplier is Multiplicative as in my previous post. Exp per kill is NOT included in the multiplication (so +2500 exp per kill stays at +2500 per kill in GR's)

T6 - Exp multiplier is Additive as in my previous post. Exp per kill IS included in the multiplication (so +2500 exp per kill is actually +40000)

Hope that helps clear it up :)

TLDR:
For T6 stack +XP per kill if you're really going for maximum xp rates, %bonus xp effects are negligible.
For GR stack +Bonus XP, +XP per kill effects are negligible.

Examples (Taken from diablo official forums, not written by me)

Example GR#1:
+91% XP (20% Born + 30% Leorics Ring + 41% Ruby)
If you killed a zombie worth 1,000,000 XP, you would instead get 1,910,000 XP.

Example GR#2:
+2000 XP from Gem of Ease
If you killed a zombie worth 1,000,000 XP, you would instead get 1,002,000 XP.

Example T6#1:
+91% XP (20% Born + 30% Leorics Ring + 41% Ruby)
Since T6 base = 1600% +91% = 1691% = ~5.7% ,more XP
If you killed a skeleton worth 100,000 XP, you would instead get 105,688 XP.

Example T6#2:
+2000 XP from Gem of Ease
T6 Base of +1600% XP = +34000 XP = ~34% more XP
If you killed a skeleton worth 100,000 XP, you would instead get 134,000 XP.

db xp counter is pretty bad, it only counts the xp u got in the last minute or so and multiplies for 60 .

Indeed, DB counter resets every hour AND every time you gain a paragon level. So it sucks balls :)

OT: At GR47 my monks getting 9.5b per hour (based on an entire paragon level) without any bonus exp.
 
comfortably getting 7-9b/hr running 44-45GR on the barb in less than 10 minutes...

0 death/hr - 20-30 legs an hour.

anyone saying they are getting 15b/hr is incorrect. DB doesnt accurately measure xp/hr you need to actually time it....

my 730para seasonal would LOVE to be getting a lvl an hour, but its not actually possible when running solo.
