Best way to sell gold with one main account?

So I'm planning on selling a little over 500k this week. I have one main account. Should I do the buyer withdraws from guild bank, hand over GM to buyer, or face to face, etc? I know most likely I will get banned, which is a sacrifice I'm willing to take. I know the chances are slim to nothing, but would like to have that itty bitty chance of dodging the banhammer. Any suggestions?

I have no interest in playing this game manually anymore. I leave GB2 on ALL day for the past 1 1/2 months hoping for a ban lol. I'm thinking of just buying cheap accounts one by one> farm gold on it> sell it> get banned> make a little profit here and there from now on.

HMMMMMMM. My advice would be go to the shop, buy a vanilla WoW (15/20 dollars). Level it to 10 in an hour or so, invite it to the guild, make it guild leader. Leave the guild with your main (take valuable items with you) Then sell the gold with Guild withdraw.

So really there would be little to no chance of your main account getting banned. Oncee the trade has gone throughhh Invite your main back to guild i guess.. Or just start another.

Method is probally best with 2 vanillas, just to be extra cautious, but I am sure one will do.

One thing I've always wondered about is, why does it seem the gold buyer never gets banned? I would think blizzard can easily track that and ban both since both parties are breaking the ToS, no? And from a past sale like years ago, I sold to someone who was constantly changing toons and demanding a certain amount per toon. Is that some kind of gold laundering thing? I'm very curious, can someone please explain?

Def agree with a new vanilla account, promoting to gl and taking the gold out before selling. You will get banned for selling 500k imo.

Making a guild and transfering ownership is probably the safest way atm to sell gold, but not a lot of buyers do it. I just did that this weekend for a 160K transfer out of a total 600K sale, since they were having ISP/proxy issues not all their accounts held a connection. Vanilla account is getting risky, imho...but I was ready to do that. Other option is guild withdraw/drop, but that should be done with care as it is directly traceable, but the majhority of the 600K was done just that way, 100K to 60K at a time...

What I did was make a vanilla and a level 1 tauren or human since they are the closest/safest to starting point, give guild owner to my guild, they give ownership back and drop guild and then use my other accounts to form a new one. They drop the gold and remove all other accounts. Either invite for the guild withdraw or use a different character to make drops. If giving the guild away, invite the buyer, they confirm the amount, you screenshot the transfer and /gquit and delete the vanilla character.

Not banned so far, where with f2f I have always had the vanilla banned that night for the last few months. Probably just related to whom I am trading with...but last night no ban, and ~600K was the total across 4 servers.

How long does it usually take for a ban after selling gold? I just sold 585k last night and traded by f2f and guild withdraws. Buyer used many toons to take the gold and even made me give gold to one of their customers for them. So I'm pretty much expecting a ban at this point, the question is when.... Been about 10 hours now, no ban.

Usually same day for vanillas, any other accounts has a 1-3 day lag.. but vanilla could lag too, I'd say if you're good by tuesday or weds then you're safe. I'll be curious to see if ban goes past your vanilla, how did you filter your gold to your vanilla?

Safest method imo is to log off your account for 4+ hours, (or however long it takes to avoid getting it locked) and once you're ready to make the sale login via a different IP from a different geological area, trade and log off,.. maybe even do something like delete some of your characters or whatever.. You basically want to make it look like your account was hacked. I wouldn't bother using vanilla accounts or even a guild since doing so makes it appear as if you're trying to 'protect' your main account to the GM that's investigating. Remember you're playing as the hacker, they don't care about getting an account banned after it's been cleaned. If you get banned just say you were hacked and get all your gold restored.

I believe most bans from gold sales to resellers are not triggered from some server side check, but from 'real' hacked accounts selling to the reseller and a GM investigation after owner reports account as hacked. GM would simply follow the gold trail from the hacked account to the reseller, and then ban all accounts that traded gold to the reseller account within the last couple days. this is just my theory and I might be wrong

If you're using your main account I would use a proxy to sell, but theres only so many times you can do this

Well Been almost 4 days since the gold sale, still no ban or contact from blizzard. I broke all the rules to a safer gold sale (multiple face to face trades, multiple guild withdraws, using main/farm account, chatting and trading gold to one of my buyers customer etc). Guess I got lucky. I even leave GB2 on 20+ hours a day and have 100+ stacks of elementium ore in AH at a time. Maybe GMs on my server are lazy lol. Awesome! Hope I didn't just jinx myself.

Just remembering those days when I first started I was paranoid of bans from botting. I would never have over 10 stacks of anything in AH and would only bot a few hours a day... LOL!

Main Account + "Gold" selling account ---> Start up VPN = Transfer gold to "gold selling account" Appeal Ban, say you want gold. Account safe, x2 profit.

Yeah that's how my accounts were done, but now i just have a vanilla as guild leader all the time etc. But F2F with a Vanilla account is the best way IMO

You guys are doing it ALL WRONG!!!

Method:
Scenario:
4 bot accounts in one GUILD (this is you're legit bot guild that you want protected) - These guy play under your regular IP
2 vanilla accounts (these are you're gold sellers) - These guys are activated+played on a VPN or PROXY (theres tons of free proxies out there or you can use a payed VPN). Vanilla account 1 on one VPN/proxy, vanilla account 2 on a different vpn/proxy.

1. You accumulated 1000k gold with your 4 bot accounts under "MAIN GUILD BANK". /gquit all the botters from the guild one week in advance of the sale. Have them join a second guild called "Main Guild Bank2" or something while they bot for that week.
2. You obviously have a bank-alt guildmaster still in "main guild bank" using a bot account. Go ahead and create a vanilla account one week in advance of the sale. Level that toon to 10. Transfer guild ownership to that new lvl10 toon. Delete the original guildmaster to leave no evidence. You now have all your bots in a new guild and a vanilla account guildmaster under the original guild (guild should now have tons of members inside as if it were a legit guild, and 1000k gold).
3. Go ahead and keep leveling that vanilla account to whatever lvl you want, or troll trade chat for a week. After a week goes by, create "vanilla account 2". Have a random newbie guildy member invite the 'vanilla account2" and promote him to officer.
4. "Vanilla account2" will withdraw 1000k gold, then /gquit, then he creates his own 'vanilla account2 guildbank", he then invites the chinese gold seller to withdraw gold.
5. Wait for vanilla account2 to get banned. Cross your finger that vanilla account1 doesn't get banned, remember you never invited 'vanilla account2' to ninja the guild, it was another officer of the guild who is the scapegoat thats why its good to invite like 50 ppl to the original guild. If worst comes to worse, vanillaaccount1 + vanillaaccount2 + entire guild gets banned. In the meantime your 4 main account bots left the guild a week ago and have been in a seperate guild since under a different VPN - there is no way a GuildMaster can figure this one out.

Notes: if your 'vanilla account1" survives, one month later on your next sale, have him repeat the cycle above again, he'll become the guildmaster of the new 'legit guild2', all your main bots will disband the guild a week early. Create yet another vanilla account to be the seller , rince and repeat. What's crucial here is the VPN/PROXY, keep the vanilla accounts seperate from your botters.
