Best way to profit from your herbs/ore?

I just started botting again and after posting some stuff in the AH, i noticed that i am farming herbs and ore alot faster then they are selling in the AH. I was wondering if anyone has some tips they would like to share on how to use these ore/herbs to profit still without selling to vendor. I see alot of people saying they are just smelting their ore and vendoring the bars. What about herbs, are they even worth farming anymore?

Level up an Inscriptionist and Alchemist to burn through a lot of those herbs. I'm making decent gold with both Inscription and Alchemy

This has been stated many times. Find (a) private buyer(s) or micro manage your "business" and make an inscript / alchy (elixir or potions). Ore -- find a private buyer or smelt and sell to vendor.

You guys are a riot xD I have it in my sig (it shows up as tinyurl b/c my sig is too big with 5 urls). But yes, I write guides b/c I get a lot of PM's or I reply a lot... and i'd rather have it all there in 1 thread that I can simply edit / add to ... Not everyone is as awesome as me.
