Best Ret CC for Raiding

I was just curious which CC was the best for raiding. I haven't played my pally in a while but figured I'd run him through the LFR. Thanks for any suggestions

For the last few days I've been trying the ret paladin cc's and most are really bad/outdated. Ret is really in need of a new raid/instance CC or at least a usable version of the current ones but if i was to recommend any it would be ibot.ipaladin once you disable movement in the logs its usable for raiding (also recommend changing the combat_ret files with the one that is posted on the ibot.ipaladin forum it will stop it from using concercrate. (the only real problem is for some of the Boss's in DS raids it stops casting crusader strike but you can hit that for the very few boss's it freaks out on, also it heals itself now and then and I got bored before i found where to disable that lol)

Doctrine is outdated to the point where its almost unusable, FPSware is also outdated but even when if it was up to date its still no good for great dps (used mainly for farming) and the only other ret CC is the pvp one and i dont need to tell you that wont work ^_^. Hope that helps GL

Athraku seems to be lying, Doctrine works absolutely fine for me.

facepalm.webp

ezRet is far not perfect but better then other IMHO

ezRet is setup for pvp so it will use all CDs every fight no matter the target so its not idea for pve, thats the only reason i didn't put it at the top of the list and it doesn't use Inquisition but i believe it can be turned on I havn't had a good look at it but if you could disable wing's/trink usage and do that part manually then yes it would be the most reliable.

And no [Release] Doctrine RetRaider CC is no working fine i didnt say it wasnt working but its like flogging a dead dog its CC option menu is now just there for looks since nothing works on it anymore, its rotation still works but the dps output isn't amazing(5mnths out of date).

just l2p ret urself...you should not need to bot a 3 button class :P (im mainspec ret)

If i get gear for a ret spec at some point, i can look into modifying a CC to work properly.
But right now, i only have gear for prot and holy ^^

Well considering I come number 1/2 DPS in every fight Ive done in DS using Doctrine's CC I cant exactly see how it doesnt work? Im not exactly amazingly geared and am pretty sure Rets arent *that* OP'd.
As for the CConfig yeah its broken, but why would I need to change it if it works without?

There's no aoe rotation encrypted into it, is there?

Thanks for the input. I'm gonna test a few out and see how they look. With LFR you can basically just stand there and still roll on loot. I don't think Ret is a 3 button class. Just between Inq, the guardian thing, and my on use trinket is 3 buttons. Keep up with Inq and Zealotry. Spam crusader strike until something procs, judge, holy wrath, exo procs, TV, hammer of wrath. I used to play ret until I switched to tanking for the fast q's, been a while now. I just don't feel like playing it by hand when HB can do it for me.

I just tested all the Ret CCs on the raid dummy so here's the results if anyone is interested. My pally is 383 ilvl with 7 PVP pieces. I'm 1.26% from being hit capped and have no reforges or enchants. All the CC's were tested for 3:15.

Doctrine - 11,502 Without CDs 16,326 With manual CDs
ibot - 12,678 Without CDs 16,737 With manual CDs
Felmaster - 14,078 With CDs
Felmaster w/ Wulf - 15,433 With CDs
Singular - 9,677 Without CDs did't both with manual CDs
Singular w/ Obliv - 13,074 Without CDs 14,617 With CDs
EZRet - 14,221 With CDs

edit: updated Obliv's Singular changes

I'll check em both in just a few.

edit. As soon as I figure out how to get either to show up.

edit. figured it out and tested the new ones. Results are updated in original post. I might retest tomorrow to see if I get close results again.

just watch ibot, if you ever post a log it includes your character name in it, even if you didn't run it as your .ccc, it does it whenever you run any .cc in your custom class directory.

It seems like FelMaster is a happy medium between all the choices. It offers the best DPS with using CDs automatically, not manually. I think anyway, I could be wrong since I just woke up, but anyway the only thing I dislike about FelMaster is that it doesn't check to see if you're mounted. I've used it before and it's buffed me in mid-air and I've fallen to my death, lol. I know I can turn off the auto-dismount in the WoW options, but theoretically would the CC spam trying to buff until I landed and dismounted? And, if so, wouldn't that flood my WoW client until it caused me to DC? So, why not just code in mounted checks? Just curious. No disrespect meant to the creator. It's a great CC when used with Wulf's rotations.
