Best Hunter Pet for Leveling

Sorry if this has been answered before but what would be the best pet for leveling a hunter using mixed leveling? Thanks :)
 
Bear, by far the best. I used it for my hunter from 20-80. Used Zygor for the talent guide. Bears are awesome for holding aggro. On multiple mobs as well as single targets.
 
I didnt even know I could get a pet until I was about level 35 lol.

I ended up getting this badass spider that just happened to be where I was about to start leveling. I like her. Besides the fact she is hawt, she does some decent DPS and has the stun.
 
I used a Bear... Simply because of the "Swipe" + "Thunderstomp" talent its able to tank more than 1 target without any problem.
 
As long as you have growl on your pet wll not lose agroe and you will kill fast. The last thing you want ia a tank pet. Get anything from the ferocity tree, wolfs are really the best when they get furious howl. ferocity pets do the most damage so you will mow thru mobs, without evert getting touched. At 80 this changes because you start pullin agroe from your pet
 
Cheers for the replys ill try a few out while leveling and make a choice :).
 
In my opinion:

Leveling: Bear, Pig, Turtle
Damage: Cat
PvP: Spider, Chimera (requires BM exotic)
 
Call me crazy but I like Carrion birds, its like having a tank but they can use their AP reducer that does damage MUCH more often
 
I like gorillas but they suck to feed. Bears are also great for leveling. Cats are good because you can kill faster but I pull aggro from them quite often.
 
i like the worm ... it requires BM exotic ,, but it is easy to get (goto the correct instance) and it never dies.

If you dont have exotic take any spider the web usually traps it long enough to kill
 
i used a croc from barrens, all the way from 11-80
Worked well.

I think the trend here is, choose what you want.
 
ugh... DO NOT USE TENACITY OR CUNNING FOR LEVELING they are the worst pets for leveling, the absolute best choice is wolf, ferocity pets deal way more damage and hold aggro much better than tenacity / cunning, and although they take more damage, you can just get the glyph of mend pet to counter that. your exp per hour will go through the roof if you use a wolf. tenacity pets are only good for heroic tanking at level 80 and extreme soloing (soloing stuff not many other people can solo)

use a wolf if you want to level fast, or tenacity if you want to level slow
