Most reliable:
3x hunter
Warrior prot (faster than the other tanks, but I have never tried monks)
Any healer
Second most reliable, slightly better dps:
3x hunter
frost/unholy dk with blood aura enabled
Any healer (never tried monks)
Fastest clearing speed:
3x hunter
blood dk/prot warrior, where as the blood dk has lower dps, but higher survivability.
Balance druid queued as healer (since recent starfall buff, balance druid does sick damage in instances, but because the range is so large, often makes Dungeonbuddy bug)
Best of both worlds:
3xhunter
blood dk/prot warrior, same story.
Shadow priest queued as healer
Never tried:
5x melee or 5x balance druids with starfall.
prot warr disc priest
dps
1 hunter - this will be the top dps but u dont want too many of these coz others will not be able to gear up
pally or warr dps
rogue or feral druid
u can see were i am going with this, u dont want casters, long fights there good but most of the time well mobs just die too fast for them to be any good
u dont want too many of one type coz they will be fighting over the gear
I had this same question like two weeks ago. I started out with a shit comp because i worried about them fighting each other for gear. But you should concentrate on what will make you the most gold in the end. Taking an extra day or two...or three to level and gear is worth it when your comp is going to pull in double the gph than going with one that will level and get decent gear in a day or two.
-First Team-
Prot Paladin
MM Hunter
Arc Mage
Ele Shaman
Disc Priest
I was only pulling like 500 gph and they where in all upgrades timeless gear with the invasion blues and epic trinket so like (522ilvl). Their runs where slow even with optimized settings.
-Second Team-
Blood DK
BM Hunter
BM Hunter
BM Hunter
Ret Paladin
I got the hunters pets that provide good buffs for this comp. The ret paladin is configured to off heal if its ever needed. The blood dk practically solos the instance on its own. And in the rare case you lost the DK (hasn't died yet in eight hours of running) you have three hunter pets to take over. The entire team is in full prideful gear so (550ilvl). I have only been able to run this team fully gear for about a day now so i don't have my gph averages yet but its looking to be upwards of 1300gph per character.

How do you queue dungeonfinder without healer?
Haha yeah - 5 man dungeon ok.
My ret paladin has a holy dual spec, it allows you to queue as a healer in the Blizzard UI. You just config honorbuddy to queue as a healer but dps instead. How do you queue dungeonfinder without healer?
They are running most heroics in 4-6 min, you make a minimum of 75g per run and then you add in all the blues and trash that you are selling to the vendor. So 10-12 heroics per hour and lets say four blues per heroic at an average of 20g each. So (12heroics) x (4drops) x (20g) = 960g and that's just from selling the blues, you still have all the trash the vendor.
(So random math out of my ass since I'm not at home to look at my excel sheet.)
4500gph (gold from queuing random + objective completion + loot gold)
960gph (blues)
400gph (greys, whites, greens)
------------------------------
5860 / 5 = 1172gph
And I'm also selling off the cloth and spirits in trade chat at the end of the day which brings in several hundred gold.
So once everything is done with I'm thinking between 1200-1300gph per character.
What i meant by "upwards of" is that I'm positive that i can squeeze out more gph by modifying the default dungeon scripts even more, i have already removed a good bit of stuff but I'm still learning how to optimize it.
Been running the exact same comp for 3 weeks. Average gph is 950 per character, measured this with the addon !statter.
You do NOT clear instances in 4-6 min, that's only scholomance and scarlet monastery. The other instances have horrible scripts and can take upwards of 12 min to clear, they'll be standing around waiting for shit, slowing your gph down like crazy. Nice try though son.
Missed the part where i said I've been optimizing the scripts for less downtime? Nice try though son. If you are running the same comp then you need to spend more time tweaking your settings.
