Best anti-afk method?

Hi, I'm building an illegal farm plugin and I don't want to get the away status while waiting for crops to mature. Is there an agreed upon "best" method for doing this? Right now I am just having my character change to a random angle, but this seems like a pretty good way to get bait the ban hammer.

Most people manually anti-afk'ing would probably press forward/backward movement keys every few minutes (and probably set the delay long enough to appear away shortly every now and then, that's what usually happens to people waiting at a spot)
