Here is the thing, I am being extored by another player for gold because he recons he caught me, he demands 5k, now he thinks he saw a toon which i dont use for such activities. is there a scam thats taking place or what? if anyone has had the same prob let me know how you dealt with it. so from the way he has done this i can an have opened a ticket for harrassment. and when the ticket goes through i intend on not botting, for a while as i could be under investigation. Also, this player seemed to kno abit about botting an knows of GB.. could the this offender be part of this community?

tell him, that botting is not a crime. maybe it is an infringement on EULA or TOS... but it's not a crime. to blackmail someone is a crime. and this won't get him off cheaply...

Same, I would report him, and don't change too much about your own play schedule either (because if the GM decided to look into your accounts, and notices a play style change since the incident he might get second thoughts or keep your toons under survey).

Why do you even answer him?? block him, stay offline for 4 days and go back to farming.

Never talk to peps in game when you use your toon for farming with a bot.

last one that tried that to me got a 3 day suspension for harrasement...

Blizz will do NOTHING to help you out. My friend got his account hacked by a player on my server, and the guy who hacked my friends account demanded gold for his account back. BLIZZARD was actually wsping him WHILE he was being blackmailed. Blizz saw the whole convo and still did nothing about the situation. All that happend was he got his account back, and he person who hacked my friends account had no further action taken against him. All and all, Blizz doesnt give a sh*t if some1 blackmails you.

open a ticket, and say hes extorting gold from you, and has been harrasing you online in other places including wow, also say hes been harrasing you, following you in game stealing your mob kills. pretend you did nothing wrong, well you did do nothing wrong, so what if they look at your account, and if you get banned for botting witch i dont think will happen from opening a ticket, say it was a lie, and he bought the gold from you. let him get whats coming to him.

Interesting. I tend to think 50% of player reports (possibly even higher) are fellow members of the botting community: pissed off about sharing spots/another person having an advantage.

I would NOT talk to him, do NOT give him anything, tell him you have reported him for harrassment and /ignore.

The rest is up to you; whether you decide to eventually report or not.
