Beginner Questions and current state of the bot

Hey pretty ppl,

I started playing PoE again and I realised quickly why I left the game. The endless farming for currency to afford the better builds.
The game is actually fun as soon as you are "rich". However, I don't have the time to do the farming.
That's when I decided to bot
Your bot seems the obvious choice since I already use Honorbuddy and I couldn't be happier.
Here are my questions, I hope there is someone who can help me:
1. I wonder how "safe" the bot is when I use it like this:
Main and only account on steam, botting ca.6 hrs a day for a bit currency and level. Do I need a virtual machine or something like that?
I read about ppl losing all their accounts in just a few days. How can I avoid that?
2. How do combat rountines work? Can I use a Marauder Dual Totem Build without problems?
3. Is there a leveling feature and/or a randomised map pattern to use?
4. I have gems like cast on damage taken which should not be leveled up, can I disable gem leveling for that gem or is gem leveling even implemented?
5. Does the bot inject? Can I use my mouse for other things when I bot?

Hey dude, welcome back.
1 - Not recommended steam and PoE, unless you are offline, but then again, your hours playing would show on it.
2 - Current combat routine will support "most" builds, if you want a specific build, you have to make your own combat routine.
3 - There "is" a leveling feature, my plugin located at https://www.thebuddyforum.com/exilebuddy-forum/community-developer-forum/181127-plugin-act-2-bandits-misc-quests.html will get you from level 1 to Dominus Merciless ( there are some small fixes I have to publish, but 99% of it works), as long as you are geared properly, so you can technically get from level 1 - end game maps 66+ without doing much.
4 - Yes, there's a build in plugin called Gem Leveler, which will let you auto level gems. It has a global block feature, which you can add gems you do not want leveled.
5 - The bot does inject, but it emulates client keys/actions, therefore there is no flagging or anything as no packet injection is used. You can run it in the background (not minimized though)

Does that mean I have to create a new account and farm currency there?
I think it is better to bot this account ONLY on a virtual machine or does it actually matter?
How strict is GGG as far as trading the botted currency to another account is concerned, will my main account (granted that I don't bot on it) be banned too, any experiences?
Can you guys recommend a easy to bot build?

Gonna drop my 2 cents here.

Yes, people get banned. But there is also a lot of people not getting banned. The detection is based, I would say, on patterns.

I would also not use EB on a new account with the same MAC address and IP of your main ...

You gotta keep them totally apart and try not to push too much, don't be greedy ...

If you have access to VM/VPN do some testing there on new accounts and see how far you can push and what gets you banned.

I have a VM but no VPN , I don't really wanna pay monthly fees just to use a good VPN.
Don't know about the MAC adress when I use a VM , is it a different one than on my computer I use the VM on?
Could I use the currency on a bot account to buy for instance a gem and then trade the gem to my main account for let's say 1 alchemy orb? I actually don't care that much about getting banned on my main but still, I'd rather not^^
