Beeing blackmaild in-game

Hi!

Today when I got home from school I found that two of my three botting chars had recieved an mail from the same person, here is the mail:

"Hello. I've seen you've been doing a lot of suspicious activity in strom peaks the last couple of days. I think you know what I'm talking about. Since I am a nice guy and all I'll give you one chance to redeem you sins.
I suggest you lay your pride aside. if not you know what consequences that will be taken. I also know that you are currently in a ICC raiding guild and I'm not sure if they would be thrilled by your activity.
2500 gold buys my silence, offer runs out at 18:00 GMT+1"

What would you guys have done? I really dont want this to continue and I can't be sure that he will stopp with this.
By the way, the "ICC raiding guild" is my own guild and all of my IRL friends in it knows that I am botting so that won't be a problem.

report him for harassment. continue as normal. or be a huge pussy and pay him. then pay him again. and again. and again. make sure you report him from each toon as well. 2 reports might get him investigated quicker.

A similiar event happend to me. A guy whispered me that he would report and/or call blizz to get me banned (according to him calling blizz always gets bots banned), and that i could buy his silence for 10k gold. I told him that i would report him for harassment (he actually cursed and acted very intimidating) and then /ignored him. I have been botting 24/7 for 2-3 months after that with no ban.

So my tip for you is: If you are in a raiding guild that he said and you know you will get in trouble if they found out that you'r a botter, just stop botting for a while and ignore the blackmailer.
Tip 2: If you don't have a DK, level up one and use him for botting gold.

if wow doesnt catch you while your doing it they can't bann you, meaning if someone reports you but your saying that they saw you botting 2days ago and your not botting when they report you than your still golden, so main idea is to just not bott for the next couple days and report him like everyone else said

I agree, report him for harrasment. They won't ban you unless they have proof that you are using 3rd party programs. I had somebody whisper me the other day accusing me of being a speed hacker, I wouldn't mind but I've never used a speed hacker in my life. I just told him straight and reported him for harrasment.

i just tend to laugh at these people had a few of em before also.. i just laugh at em and let em be.. kept botting never heard a thing about it again.

if you're scared you could just let hb level a new toon for you so you can switch once in a while so it draws less attention
