Battlechest for wardrobe.

All my appearance goodies are on my old banned account (account #1). I have a new one that I'm leveling (account #2) at least while #1 is out.
If I buy a cheap battlechest (account #3) and bot the hell out of it for my free month to get as many quest item appearances as I can will Account #2 (and #1 I suppose) be nailed when Account #3 inevitably gets banned? Yes, I know buying a battlechest for the sole purpose of unlocking wardrobe items is a little silly, I guess I'm just fabulous.

why get banned? be smart don't run the bot 24/7 . you can run old raids and dungeons but be smart don't run 50 a day. run your quests but be smart don't run non-stop quest 12 hours a day

act like you don't want to lose the account . bot slow over time. just a few hours a day . if you run 1 old raid a day and shut off the bot. you'll never get caught

Most likely he was banned in the wave, which is unavoidable - eventually your account will be banned (every 6 months for th past year and a half now).

only people online were banned in the big ban waves. i have not been banned on my 10 accounts past 3 ban waves. lost 5 accounts to ban wave almost a year ago.

chances are so low if you only bot a hour or 2 a day

Ditto. Was banned in the first wave and banned in the second. Was botting for about 2 hours every few days with all the spiffy protection plugins. Pretty sure joseph was just lucky, if losing 1/3 of his accounts is "lucky. Which is why I don't want something to happen to something I care even slightly about.

Anyway . . . so would I be ok? would only the cheap throwaway account be affected?

hard to say for sure but very likely they would only ban the licence confirmed to be using HB. Do not send ANY mail or gold to your main acc from that botting account tho or they will cop it

they only ban the account you bot on, so if nr 3 is banned, and you din't bot on nr 2 and 1, they'll be fine.

Most likely you weren't botting during the time when warden made its scan - which could have lasted a few hours (not likely) or a few days or even a week. People not banned were the ones who didn't login during this time, which is not a good thing to go by since you will never know when warden performs its scan.
