I understand and accept that a BAN can occur for any reason. With that in mind I would like to ask, is there any clear connection between the BATTLE.NET LAUNCHER and BOT detection?

dont use hb if u are worry t o lose you acc....

I have no worry about losing my account. I never bot on my main account, ever. I'm asking because my boyfriend seems to think the BNET client is in some way involved in "naughty" behaviour that could constitute an illegal memory / disk scan. Since he works in IT security I'm inclined to believe him (he's a smart twat who can be really annoying as he's almost always right). I'm simply seeking some information from those who may know far more than he does.

Any answers here would be speculation. I dont believe the Bnet client poses any more risk than WoW itself. Simply launch without the Bnet client if you are concerned.

Back in the day.... the battlenet client would tell you upon launching it that there was a 3rd party(*****), but I am sure as NavyAV89 says there should be no real difference.

i turn off the bnet clinet whenever i bot, just in case i dont want to take the risk

Bnet client is not working the way you think (detection wise)
