Banning for vp.n/prox.ys? [GER Attachment]

We have appealed for a few of our Accounts, and we got often this message:

We imagined this problem on fresh created accounts a few times with the same ban reason "abuse of economy" - using open***.


Accounts with VicSock's just worked fine, no problem at all.
 
Using wow through a "tunnel" is against the rules of blizz... Anyhow they won`t really notice it.

But if you use a public pro... it will get you banned for sure und you will recieve a abuse of economy mail or something like that. If you than contact a gm, and talk to him, he will tell you that your account was autom. closed because it was used from an ip that is involved into gold selling. Now you could be lucky and pretend that your account was hacked and he will send you a new password and give you some security advise. Or you aren`t and you have lost your account because you dind`t think about it before.
 
Btw this discussion isn`t reallly illegal in my oppinion. Its not about tunneling HB, its about tunneling wow which is necessary if you want to bot multiple accounts from one internetconnection.

it's not about you to dishit if something is allowed or not

You maybe heard, that the Bossland GmbH got sued by Blizzard.
The Court ruled, that they are not allowed, to let people from germany use certain functions gb2/questing. There is absolutely no room for discussions, the court doesn't allow it, that's it. If they help people bypassing this, they get a fine and pay a lot. It is Bossland GmbH's forum so he is responsible for the content.
 
You really dont get it. Its NOT about using hb with a Pr...oxy! Its about using wow with a pro...xy just like every botter with more than one account does.
 
Blizz does not allow it and they know the addresses or some free or bigger pro.xy providers. Normally they don't see it but they can if also a lot of users use the same provider.
Reverse DNS. Easy!
I have no idea why they have an issue with this but it makes people harder to identify and gives it an illegal touch if you use one. Maybe this is the reason. You better ask Blizz directly why they don't allow this because there also might be
practical reaons to use on one your side (tunneling from a company network, country pro.xy bypass and so on....)
 
We never use any public providers, we have a lot of VPS Servers at ovh - own dedicated IP.

In this case i guess they scan for tunnel software and or for rDNS entrys

I had a look and found that your account was banned for the use of ***/***** service. While we appreciate that players use those things, I'm afraid that such services are commonly and mainly used by people exploiting the game. As this is not the case here I have now overturned the suspension and you can log in again.




I'm forced to use a *** since all accounts on my normal home IP get banned alot faster then 'normal'. Even ones that don't bot xD I guess that's the result of used to have so many suicide accounts on this IP.

using cyberghost - I do however pay for it ( 5 euro a month ) benefit is that it's unlimited download and you can chose the IP you want but it has indeed around 10-30 other people on each one. So probably someone has used it for gold selling.
 
Just like I said.

Never run wow through a ... that others also use. Get your own private... And avoid all problems. Its just 2-3euros a month and about 10 minutes of configuration. That way you can also create your ... in the same country your account is located in.

Should look into that yea - chose for an easy option but it's not so great after all.
