Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Use of Third Party Automation Software

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified using an unauthorized ***** program, also known as a "hack." These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harms the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and supersede the intended limits of the game.

Please review the World of Warcraft Terms of Use at Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation, which you accepted when you installed World of Warcraft and established the account(s). Section 2, Paragraph C details the limitations of game play modifications and use of any third-party or packet sniffing software. In addition, Section 3, Paragraph C, parts iii and iv restrict the use of any hack, scripting or macroing software which obtains information from World of Warcraft to gain a competitive advantage over other players.

This account didn't even have any priors on it. I hand leveled it too for the last level. Only thing I did was trade 25k gold to it from my bank alt and do a faction change. As soon as the faction change went through and I logged in I was immediately disconnected and banned. Fuckers try to take my 30 bucks and ban the account.
 
Did you use HB on this account at all? what did you use it for?

Well this is extremely odd. I just sent a simple response to the original account closure email and got this email this morning:

Greetings,

Thank you for contacting us concerning the recent action taken against the World of Warcraft account WoW1. While we understand your concerns regarding the status of this account, we take matters involving the integrity of the game environment very seriously.

Please take a few moments to look over the World of Warcraft Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment: World of Warcraft Terms of Use), which all players agree to upon initially logging into the game.

The Terms of Use state that you will not "...modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Game Client or the Service in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard" or "...use *****s, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience..."

Additionally, the Battle.net Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment: Battle.net Terms of Use) state that "You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the Login Information, and you will be responsible for all uses of the Login Information, including purchases, whether or not authorized by you."

Due to a second thorough review of the circumstances involved in this account action, we have made the decision to modify the previously communicated penalty. This additional review took into consideration a variety of factors including the history and standing of this account. Please understand that should another incident arise in the future, it is possible that a different outcome will be reached.

Please review our in-game penalties policy (Blizzard Support) which states that "we must also factor in the severity of the infraction and how often the player has violated our policies in the past. Based on these factors, the penalty may be moved up the Penalty Volcano, up to and including Account Closure."

If the previously issued action resulted in the closure of this account, the account has been reopened and access restored. Should any action be required in order to regain access to this account, an additional email will be sent from an @blizzard.com or @battle.net email address with further instructions. All I said in my email was that I didn't do anything they accused me of. I knew it was pointless to send it, but for whatever reason they unbanned me. Don't know why they would do that if they were "sure" it was automation programs I was using. Maybe they saw me cancel billing on all my other non-banned accounts and decided they wanted the money lmao.
 
they can never be "sure" we are botting... as HB is currently undetected, and it has been for a long time now. All they can do is detect "patterns of botting", that can be avoided to some extent..... AKA "smart botting".

lol belive me, im one of the safest botters there is. I wasn't even botting on this account for at least 48 hours before I was banned. I'm guessing trading 25k gold from a bank alt triggered something.
 
Grats on getting the account back. That alone is a success story.
 
That is lol. When i transfered my toon, I had about 15 DMC:Tsunami + 5 Vial of Sands in my bags. In addition to the 50k. Nothing happens to me :)
 
I think they are banning/suspending first and now waiting for us to contact them to get it unbanned...

This is a good premise for them imop, as a lot of posts say dont contest it, as it will draw attention to yourself, but my feel is content it to the hilt, as that looks far more likely that you are a legitimate player who is seriously pissed off. (As you would be in real life).

I received my first suspension after 1.5 years of botting, I contacted Blizzard straight away, and the account was working again within 3 hours. This imop proves my point of bann first and see what the user does, as yours was overturned too...

Wow that was unexpected. Everyone always told me that if u got permabanned u'd never it back. But here it seems that almost everyone gets it reactivated with just a small rant. Perhaps blizzard has decided not to care so much for all the smalltime botters and instead aim more for the goldselling companies... Although the uending spam kinda proves the contrary.

Try ringing them up and complaining if your persistent enough you will probably get it back
