Banned using only scanners/radar.

My toon got banned today, I only used ants radar and a landgrabbing plugin to scan for expiring plots.
So I guess even these things are detected even tho all they do is just read data off the client...
I kinda doubt it's the radar, but I used the landgrab plugin for the same purpose, just to find expiring land easier.
 
My radar should be safe solong you don't use the overdue plot filter :P

I checked out your thread, don't you have any trials for your plugin to try it out? I wouldn't mind donating for it but it would be nice to see how it is like..
 
Same here, scanned a few housing areas a few days ago and got banned yesterday. Never used quester, auto trade runs, nothing automated at all. Only my custom radar and scanner. And a lot of crashes from shitty WPF development skills. Spaced out my UpdateTaxInfo requests 600ms apart but maybe will need other measures if it's so obvious.

Huh, I had scanned probably 1 to 2 thousand plots last night. Were you a free-to-play account? All I use is the open-source plugin with slight modification and haven't got banned yet. I am a founder and wonder if they take that into consideration at all (possibly giving me a warning here shortly?).

Scanned more than 5000 plots yesterday over several hours hunting for a list of expiring houses. Still not banned, and patron too :P

Patron. Nobody except them knows for sure how they are evaluating people for the bans. Apparently they are pretty confident in their algorithm. Hope they don't lose too many paying customers this way. You could be on a list and they'll get to you eventually, who knows.
 
Just a note to several users.
Trion has made public announcements that they are hammering down on land grabbing bots.
Someone made a plugin that caused players to rage and they're reacting to it.
Do NOT use land grabbers, Trion is pissed.

I believe the actually grabbing plugin itself still won't be an issue if it's executed correctly. However using the scanner will more than likely get you on a list and eventually banned. (Pinging the server for hundreds of houses tax information within seconds is more of a red flag than someone grabbing a plot right as it comes available).
