I botted up to 6 hours a day, often one or two days in between botting sessions. I paid for 2captcha, and saw that it had been used by the Pokebuddy bot successfully. I cloned my device ID from my phone so that my computer looked like my phone. I botted only within 30 miles of where I live, and didn't teleport or snipe. I was careful not to log in to my phone while botting. I never did a car speed, but instead always did walking speed. I recently hit level 32. I have spent about $200 on things like incubators and lucky eggs, etc. I never used another bot on my account. I think my luck ran out.

I can only guess as to why I was caught. The bot seems to do a good job of being incredibly human-like. But, I knew the risks when I started botting. I guess that they saw crazy hours of botting and got me. Oh well. I always enjoy seeing the bot try to be efficient. Knowing how long it took for the bot to level me up and collect pokemon, I know that had I done it all by hand I would have quit by now. No regrets. Thanks for the good times!
 
the reason we bot is we cant just do it alone to collect all the stardust.
4 account banned no matter how safe is your setting.
 
yeah the stats says so
i know the patterns from long time ago but whats the points of stop botting till you reach level 30

niantics use machine also and waits till pf booter reaches level 30 and they will ban-mass like today
 
I have an account above level 30 that was not banned..

That is why I'm trying to identify any patterns of those that were banned to see if it is something we can all learn from in our behaviors.

After an account that I would bot on for 6+ hours a day or more was banned awhile back I've taken a much more consistently safe approach with this new account only botting 2-4 hours a day, manually managing inventory and pokemon transfers, only walking speed, never teleporting or sniping and staying consistent to bot in only places I'm actually active in, regularly cycling using my phone manually, etc.

The goal is hoping that the slow and steady approach is less bot like.
 
I don't understand why people bot 6 hours, it has not sense, too risky. That's why is nice to have 5-6 accounts and put to rest from time to time.

I have friends which are running 6 hours a day per feet and car for pokemon go. Why the bot shouldn't?
My lvl 36 account is banned, I used the bot 3-4 hours a day, but not every day. The last 2 days I doesn't bot, but in the night it was banned :(
How is Niantic doing that?

I haven't sniped, I run low speed, I used Incubators automatically, ....
 
Ditto on 3/3/17 Ban

Hi all,

Just to add details, my primary high-level account was also banned on 3/3/17, level 38...I have always understood the risk I was taking, and this IS just a game, so I just started another account.

Yesterday, I received the alert about detected activity on my account and Niantic's STRONG encouragement to stop. Yeah...that's not going to happen, but it does make me weary on risking another high-level account.
I have read that this new message could possibly be related to an IV App I have been using, although I have not been able to use it for three days. For now, I will leave it be. I get the new warning every time I log into my account though, which is annoying...

Until I am sure, I will be creating a test account and using Pokefarmer only.

Please note that I do not believe PF is the reason I was banned. As far as I can tell, the developers do their very best to make sure it is safe for us after an update before they allow its use. Hopefully something in my post will aid in determining a common denominator that allowed the ban wave in the first place.

I restarted 4 accounts, I am going to stop botting after it hits level 30. All my accounts before were all over lvl30 and all got banned. Gonna try this way and see how it goes.

I have been using Pokefarmer only with human behaviors and got the warning today. Are you still getting the warning? Banned? I have grown attached to this account!

Yes, I have continued to receive a warning message for the third day
In addition there is a warning message every time I login
No other abnormalities

According to the players who have received this warning message in October last year
This warning message is only a warning (login popup message everytime,about 7days~) and will not be banned
Unless you have a clear behavior detected by Niantic
