Hey,

So I just recently got banned on my farming account. It had nothing on it 'cept the one toon so it didn't bother me at all.

It's connected to the same battle.net account as my main account, but it's permanently banned and I would kinda like to at least try to appeal it.

Is it safe to appeal my botting account when my main is on the same battle.net account?

Thanks.

Yes.

They'll only ban/suspend the account that went against the rules and will never touch the battle.net.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself quite clearly enough. Whoops.

I bot on my main account too, just not farming because that shit's high ban rate. Only BG's/LazyRaider for my main. My main concern is that they'll investigate the whole battle.net account when I put in an appeal and then they ban my main too.

Also, the email says "Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure."

Is this just the fail automatically generated email, or does that mean that I'm not perma-banned? Wah, that really confused me.

Also, where do I go to send in an appeal? Is there another way other than phone?

Sorry, full email:
***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: -Censored-

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Services - World of Warcraft

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website https://us.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

For any disputes of this action or further information on exploitive activity, please visit the Account Administration Overview and contact page here: Account Administration Overview - Battle.net Support

Aww, alright. So even if I bot on my main account, but haven't been caught yet, I'll be safe trying to appeal this account?
I don't fancy losing 11 85s and 17 80+ for a single level 85 farmer.

Don't try it if you're scared.
I don't see how you can be afraid though, since you're already botting on the main acc.

Abuse of economy seems to be easy to appeal anyway.

Oh, no, I'm not necessarily scared. I would just rather be on the safer side keeping 11 85s vs possibly getting back a single 85.

It's fine -- I found where to appeal, I'll give it a go. Hopefully the main doesn't get banned as well. Haha.
