BANNED from TANKING your Arena Ranking?

So I was wondering since alot of people do it and I have heard that you can get banned for this?

When you join a arena and just leave and lose points so you get your ranking real low and start too win everyday for quick points. Has anyone been banned for this?

This is probably the first time I hear about people getting banned for doing that. It's so common to cap 2s that I doubt it's real.

I have been doing it since one of my guys are undergeared and my friend is really geared, So easy way for us too win most of the time is for him to smash them and we cant do that at a certain rating since it gets harder of course.

It used to be banable as it was considered wintrading/mmr dropping. Not sure anymore
