Banned for using raidbot only (overturned the ban after polite conversation)

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:
Tuanha pally, as holy

5)What plugins are you using?:
Just the default stuff that comes with HB, I hadn't removed them, but had them deactivated.

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?:
By hand for about 4 or 5 raids yesterday using raidbot (can't remember just how many, all kind of blurs together)

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?
100% of the time. Had to make sure I didn't stand in bad and keep people in range.

7)How many auctions per day did you have?:
0

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods?
No

9)Was your account involved in gold selling?
No

10)EU or US realm?
US

11)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account?
No




I'm not entirely sure what gave me away. There was nothing about what I did that indicated I was botting, as I was chatting away in raid and doing a damn fine job of healing.


Since I resubbed to wow I've only ever used it with raidbot or tyrael and been at my pc 100% of the time. The email stated "Blizzard has terminated this World of Warcraft license after identifying the usage of bots or other cheat software." so someone must have reported it or somehow I was detected.

After a lot of back and forth with the account recovery folk, however, I managed to recover my account. Playing via *** has its advantages!
 
See, now this is what is scaring me, bans like this, they just don't make sense. Have you used GB or farmed at all on your network with any accounts?

No GB, just raidbot and tyrael and one account that I had renewed in the past 7 days after a couple months of no wow at all.

That it got overturned makes me think it may have been a player report (for making up 30% of raid healing every raid, no one's legitimately that good!) and blizzard was just testing the waters to see what I'd come back with.

OK now , when people get banned for gathering and bg that's normal , but this , how do they even notice it , they definitely did something to target HB , i would stay low for the next few days guys ...

Different computer (laptop for lower power consumption), unrelated account (name not on anything), different *** out of different region of the US, no way to tie it to my gameplay account. Totally irrelevant to the situation so I didn't mention it as this account did not get banned. For all intents and purposes, from blizzards end it is another person in another part of the country.

If it'll make you feel better to know absolutely everything I'm doing, I've also got another account I run off the laptop that sells mats and stores gold til there's enough to justify a sale (as it'll get banned after that). This account also is unbanned as of right now.
 
So in which way does it justify to say that you only have one account?

Still doesnt make any sense.

Different IP, as I'm using a different "vee pee enn" (why is that a blocked word? seriously?).

I can understand some confusion as to why anyone might think my accounts could have anything to do with each other now I notice the important bits have been censored out.

I'm going to leave this post as done now. I got the account back in the end and it was unlinked in any possible way to any other account that had any other botting activity on it which is what had me puzzled, so folk can argue and consider theory all they like as there's nothing more to be said on the topic.
