Additional info;

I'm botting on 3 accounts at the same time, all on separate Bnets, on a single computer.
I usually run dungeons/Pickpocketing profiles, small amount of time was invested into gathering ores from Tbc/Wotlk.
I also play my main account, on which I won't ever bot, on the same mentioned PC.

So anyway, yesterday I've taken 150k gold from my Gbank on one bot account, a lvl1 character, and traded to a US Gold seller in exchange for several Wow CD keys.
I've traded him in smaller amounts -- 8k, 4.5k, 10k, etc until all 170k was transfered over. 5 hours later I've recived an email from Blizzard saying:

***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: WOW1

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Yup.. Get shrekt.
Oddly enough, I've traded my gold with the same guy several times in the past; for gamecards, battlechest keys etc.
It was never a problem, no bans, warnings or such. Even my mate traded him 250k few days ago from his main account, he had no issue.

So anyway, I'm wondering if I should appeal or what? Is there a point?
I guess it's risky business, they could try to investigate a bit. Maybe monitor my guildbank, or the other 2 bot accounts pumpin gold in it.
I dunno. I'm jus interested to hear some opinions on here I guess. What could've I done better? Is there anything I can do to get the banned account back?

So just the one bot account was banned that you traded the gold with? It's only a guess as to how you were noticed. It could be it was only a level 1 with a ton of gold. But it's anyone's guess.

I would fear to appeal this ban, because you could receive manual investigation and mini-ban-wave on your side :/

I personally lost a good farmer account the same way. Traded with a lvl 90 GB2 bot character once 100k, few days later 140k , and finally, a week later - a 400k order, all of those, to private customers! And bam! Abuse of Economy auto-ban just a few hours later!

A day later, made small transaction of 50k to the last "400k" customer, and it was pretty fine, so he had no troubles with his gained gold, but my trader got auto-banned by the server. And maybe that is a good news! Auto-banning is much better than manual ban after investigation, the "casualties" are not severe!

So, since then, Im doing this with lvl 1 clean accounts, and its going fine, got some auto-bananas every time and then, but I am fine, they are cheap enough!

For the record: I have traded tons of gold via my gather lvl 90 accounts in the past, and never had troubles!
