Banned. Do Not Bot Right Now. EDIT: Account restored.

Hello guys,

I would like to share my story. I highly advise against botting at this moment. I am very good about monitoring my bot, watching it. However, today, after over a year of using honorbuddy, I was banned. I consider myself a savvy computer user, even after careful precautions. Botting for over a year has been safe for me, as I limit my botting and take frequent breaks (sometimes over the span of months). However, as blizzard issued a license ban on my account, I see no hope in reviving my 2003-04 account. I guess this is my time to quit and move on.


I knew the risks and was prepared to take it.

Too all that bot, good luck. Ill advised. Atleast for now.

P.S If it were up to me, botting would be allowed. Atleast for farming materials. Blizzard monopolizes on players time yielding them vast amounts of resources and why can't players enjoy the gym and farm mats?

EDIT:

Account has been restored. After reviewing Honorbuddy logs I determined what caused the ban. And was able to politely get a GM to overturn the permanent ban. I consider myself very lucky in the matter and have since bought a new account which I will level and bot on it from now on. To all that use Honorbuddy, do not bot on an account you love.

I'm very happy for my outcome. However, I know others are not as lucky as me.

both me and a friend also got banned today after 6 months of using honorbuddy with no problems
 
botting gatherbot on an account you don't want to lose is UNBELIEVABLY dumb. you had to know that unless you literally never visited these forums or the ban section before.

To bot gathering (aka making gold), you have to make a fresh account you don't mind losing. it's that simple. that has ALWAYS been the case, going back to first year of wow.

Yes, Starl1te, it was stupid. I was too lazy to pay for another account. I thought my tactics were solid. I overestimated. So, I have learned. Therefore, I wouldn't call myself dumb. Live and learn.
 
You mentioned you reviewed the logs and found out what caused the ban. Mind sharing what caused the ban?
 
i was wondring guys, what about fishing or leveling with Hb ? is it safer than GB2 ?
 
I don't know about autoangler, but I got perma banned first offence while quest botting Northrend, and questing had always been one of the safest kinds. Don't bot right now if you value the account.
