Banned by mac address?

At first I thought it was my botted accounts getting banned then I created a new account on my pc and logged into my phone to play legitimately.
I deleted cache/app data, re-installed Pokemon Go and rebooted my phone to refresh the IP.
After playing for a couple days legitimately on the brand new account, I got banned.
Only thing I can think of is they banned the mac address on my phone.
Any thoughts or work around other than getting a new phone lol?

This is true hate mate. Yes the can ban your Mac Address, but usually dont. It happened to my co-worker, but he was botting as a stupid teleporting around the world. Workaround: it depends on your mobile phone brand. In someone you can change the modem if it is not part of the mainboard. Check on youtube. You can buy a cheap replacement for your modem and with 40 euro change it. Good luck!
